I started ice skating with these 5 Elements skates. I used them around 10 times this winter so far and no problems. I saved $$ of the skate rental fee :)I usually wear 26.5 cm sneakers. I bought size 10. (They didn’t have 9.5 size.) They fit good.

Terrific skates for recreational skating. I don't think I'd use them for actual hockey.I bought a pair of these for my wife who was struggling with rentals since she decided to come down to the rink with me and my son for some casual skating every now and then. The size was an exact match of her shoe size. She says it's comfortable around her feet and it holds very well above the ankle. It can be secured more tightly above the ankles than modern plastic hockey skates so it gives more stability over more flexibility which may be favorable for less experienced skaters.

I'm still plenty satisfied with them as my first personal skates, although that itself means I have no other baseline. The quality is more than satisfactory, and I get more than enough support, the boot is a tough and rigid hardboot, which I'm a fan of as I always liked ankle stability over flexibility on inline skate boots.I was on the factory sharpen (which was infact properly profiled and concaved) till about 2-3 weeks ago and will say I recommend a sharpen pretty early on, but it's also not necessary in the sense that you can't skate without a sharpening.I also recommend you replace the laces with waxed ones as well, it helps with tightening any skates, but especially more rigid ones, alongside longer lace lifespan/durability and cleanliness.

I recently picked up the 5th Element Stealth Ice Hockey Skates for some casual skating with my kids and was blown away by how great they felt. As someone who played hockey for years when I was younger, I wanted a skate that would feel familiar without costing a fortune (Bauer, I'm looking at you). These skates delivered everything I hoped for.-Sharpening and Fit-I had the skates sharpened before my first use (a must for any new pair), and they performed flawlessly on the ice. The fit was true to size, providing a snug but comfortable feel that offered great control and support. The padding is just right, firm enough for stability but still good during longer sessions.-On the Ice-I’ve used them for both recreational skating and some pick-up hockey games, and they’ve held up beautifully with the blade not dulling rapidly (a sign of poor quality steel). They offer excellent balance and responsiveness, making turns and stops feel effortless. Even after hours on the ice, my feet felt great.-Why You’ll Love Them--True-to-size fit and excellent comfort.-Durable construction for recreational skating and hockey.-Great performance for the price, an unbeatable value!-Pretty good/standard design that doesn't look like a roller-blade or rental skate. Nothing to write home about but also not bad by any means. If you’re looking for a quality pair of skates that won’t break the bank, these are a fantastic option. They combine great performance with affordability, making them perfect for anyone returning to the sport or skating recreationally. Highly recommended!!!

Size fit as expected. Bought themTo skate with the kids as they go to the rink weekly. They are not the most comfortable but maybe that is normal. I am no expert skater so not sure what to expect. I think they are good for the money.
