Purchased this to monitor temperatures overnight. It works fairly well. Another reviewer commented that you cannot see temperatures while recording - this is not true. When you start recording, it turns off the display to save battery, but you can turn it on by pressing the "down" button. It saves to SD card, which was included. Only included 2 thermocouples, and they are not the best quality, but it seems to work okay for my purposes.

I use this to monitor AC vent temperature, intercooler reservoir temperature, air coming out of turbos and air existing intercooler. It is simple and it works, I have it stuck to my dash with dual-lok. I bought 6, six foot type K thermocouples and monitor things while driving. I use this in a very fast Stage II Buick GN.

Nice unit. The issue is it does not display the temp when you log data. You can either see the temp on the screen, or log data. But you can't do both. So dumb.

I really like the way this is made and put together. Talking absolutely top quality build, I was very impressed. Came with an actual Sandisk memory card, which is nice. Overall, this is a fantastic way to gather up to 4 temperature data points.The things I wasn't that impressed with is, first, only coming with 2 thermocouples. I mean, why? This isn't a "starter unit", people aren't buying this as a "stepping stone". It's bought to perform a function. And thermocouples aren't that expensive. Just put 4 in there, for Pete's sake.And second, I'm not at all impressed with having to feed this thing AA batteries. And I also don't want to come check it one day and find the batteries have tanked, leaked, and ruined the data logger. If I was the lead on the design team of this? Instead of 4 AA batteries? It would have been powered by 2 18650 LiPo batteries, and it would have had a USB C plug-in which would both run the logger and charge the batteries. This could be made to run off 2 18650's and you wouldn't have to change a single circuit. Stick a diode in it and a charge port.In all, it's a valuable tool that, once you figure out the setup, can provide you with all kinds of useful temperature data. I just wish it was powered by something other than AA's...and included enough thermocouples to actually do what it's designed to do. 4 stars, make sure you order a few extra thermocouples when you order this. Amazon sells many of them.

I am slowly working my way through the operation of this data logger. The user manual is useless as the print is too small for me to read even with a magnifier. I am also trying to find a PDF file on line that I can download. No success there. Very frusterating.

Performed as expected. Some difficulty in programming, instructions cold be clearer. But overall satisfaction with recording results was good. Can recommend.
