Fits well on the 5 gallon bucket of fluid film. And yes, it pumps fluid film. Helps keep the mess under control

Pro: Works great and it makes maintaining equipment much easier.Con: The hose gets hard after a few weeks with oil in it, I have to replace it. The Corbin clamp that holds the hose to the pump is too weak causing it to leak. I replaced it with a screw clamp.There is no gasket between the pump lid and the bucket. The oil will slosh out when you carry it when it is full. I haven’t solved this problem yet.

This worked extremely well for transferring 4 gal of expensive hydraulic oil into the case of a sub-compact tractor. The tractor's hydrostatic fill port is obstructed by hoses, attachments, and such. This device made it possible to insert the pump's hose-wand into that fill port and transfer the oil. It took quite a few pumps (100ish) but the oil was viscous and NONE was spilled. The force to push the handle was minimal from an ergonomics perspective. This approach was much better than trying to pour from a 5-gal bucket through a funnel.

This is a great pump to transfer hydraulic fluid from 5 gallon buckets into a forklift. Works smoothly. It was in great shape even though the package was damaged.

Easy to assemble, worked very well , saved our backs not having to lift those 5 gal buckets of hydraulic fluid and pouring into a funnel , also a lot less messy

Figure on making a gasket of some sort before removing lid to a full five gallon bucket and placing assembly . Best to cut a lid on center for attaching your pump and cover, works great otherwise. I run a mobile hydraulic service and the first trip with this set up was messy, lessons learned.

This pump has worked flawlessly now for 5 gallons of 75W-90 gear oil thus far. I've seen reviews specifying it has failed, but these people are mostly using it for cleaning products and other things it was not intended to be used for!!! The description itself specifies it's for heavy oils and transmission fluids. Obviously, this item was made with materials resistant to deterioration with petroleum products, not resistant to chemicals for cleaning and such. People just need to purchase a product intended for what it was made for!
