The instructions this comes with are crazy complicated, tiny, and weird. I can put together IKEA furniture and still couldn't figure this out... So, I searched for "install snap buttons" on YT and found a great SUPER EASY to understand video. Yay! These are really easy to use. :)I like the color selection and the snap front options of a fill circle or just an outline of the color. I love wrap dresses, but it's windy here. So, I use these to keep me from having to hold the bottom of my dress together every time a burst of wind comes by.

Amazing kit for the price. I bought this to alter some clothes for upcoming surgery & it was very easy to figure out. Just two test snaps and I'm altering stuff like a pro. Love the fun fashion colors too.

Loved the amount of snaps. Hated how many I had to ruin until I figured out that the tool was completely misaligned and was joining the snap pieces crooked. After about ten tries, a lot of bending and hammering on the tool, I got the two ends of the tool to almost perfectly face each other. Now I can start the job with the plier tool and finish it off by hammering with the extra metal tool that came with the set.

To address what some other reviewers have said, the snaps must be started with the pliers and finished with the tool and a hammer. This sets the snap in place and is no big deal to have a snap this awesome. I can't tell from the reviews if they were new to applying snaps or if the components were defective. The second kit I ordered was defective - please see below.PROS:The colors are amazing. These are the most durable and secure snaps I have ever used!! I use these on apparel that I sell, so the finished product HAS TO BE PERFECT! These are the best I've found (when the parts fit properly.)CONS:I have ordered two kits and the stud piece does not fit into the socket piece on the second kit. Luckily, the backing pieces fit the same between the two kits. This allowed me to use the extra stud and socket parts from the first kit with the colorful top and ring pieces from the second. The completely useless stud and socket pieces in the second kit caused the overall rating to be 4 instead of 5 stars. Had I only purchased that second kit where the snaps don't snap, the entire kit would have been useless and I would have given it 1 star. The durability of these snaps (when the pieces fit) is the saving grace.There is only one color option available but the colors varied from the kit ordered in September 2019 and the kit from March 2020. This is only a problem if you have to have the exact same colors.The pros of this review are because of the success with the first kit. Had I only received the second kit ordered my experience would have been horrible. Due to the inconsistency in the product, the price increase since September, and sales of my product increasing I am switching to a professional system.

I have applied it to leather and was impressed how easy it was. I was afraid of buying it based on the reviews I read, and was ready for having to use a mallet with the punching tool, but the pliers worked beautifully. I was able to follow the "instructions" - that's basicaly one picture, but if you pay attention you will motice the direction of the pieces - and just use the pliers. I used it on lambskin, so it may be different on a very thin fabric. I was able to close an open twice and it seemed fine, however it's possible it would end up coming apart with much use, time will tell.

This has instantly been a life saver. My kids jackets are constantly losing buttons. Typically I'd throw it away but now I just can replace! Even better, this set has fun pretty colors so I even spiced up her jacket and added different colored buttons. Aside from how much fun this is. It truly is so simple to use and set up. I never knew replacing buttons would be so easy! They seem so steadfast and durable and well so I don't think I will need to be replacing again anytime soon!
