Perfect for my 2-stroke mixture and the can doesn't swell or crush etc. I use this with AV fuel, and I don't smell anything at all when I open my shed. Premium quality IMO. It does leak slightly when you pour which is why I took a star off. Not a big deal though - that's showbiz with this stuff.

This one gallon metal gas can is narrower, (about half the width) diameter of other one-gallon metal gas cans. Because it is a little narrower, it is also taller. I like it because it looks proportionately right and more practically speaking, it takes up less space on the storage shelf. It is a bummer that it is sold separately, but I really do like and recommend the funnel that goes with this can. Once installed, you leave it on the can—note that is nice. You don’t end up having to rummage around trying to find a funnel… it’s sitting right there.Pouring gas is so easy. I tilt the can sideways, stick the funnel in the gas tank, and gently squeeze the trigger to stay the flow. Ease up on the pressure to slow it down. Let go of the trigger and the gas stops flowing—just like at the gas station. It can all be done with one hand.Yeah…there’s an elephant in the room and it is named purchase price. Purchasing the can is not cheap. But now I don’t worry about fires. Storage is now very safe. So I don’t have to worry about the shed going up in flames. During refills, I don’t worry about the gas splashing on a hot motor and possibly igniting. Not worrying about a family member getting hurt… that’s priceless.

Company policy requires us to use safety cans. Good quality product.

I've got a larger 5 gal Justrite Safety Can and so when it was time to get a smaller gas can for my 2 stroke leaf blower, the choice was obvious.Yes, the cap opening handle rattles. But as other reviews have shown, there is an easy fix for that if it's bothersome. I have not tried tipping it over but I can attest that it does not allow fumes or odors to leak out—at least not to the level that I can detect.Note the "Mixed Fuel Only" stickers are not included but can be bought here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B62XF7PF

I love this can because it keeps gas safe and much easier to pour when using and it doesn’t leak like the plastic ones did all the time

Someone decided to design a better gas can and indeed they did! Love the old school all metal construction. I preferred this type 1 with the trigger handle and single spout to the type 2 design which has a roll down handle. Very simple although very functional. Easy to fill and to pour with. Great for transporting as its very stable in a truck bed. Its well thought out handle design makes it easy to carry and stores very well without taking up too much space. Great for pre-mix fuel and raw gas as well. Excellent price on Amazon. Highly recommend!

The gas can is ideal for 2 cycle mix. The can holds one gallon and the typical mix is for one gallon. The can is durable and seals well. I did purchase a funnel but have yet to find a use for the funnel. I can mange the can with one hand and hold the power tool with the other hand. Much easier than the horrible plastic containers I have been battling with for years.

This is such a great gas can! Exactly what I need for keeping fuel in my basement, as I don't have a shed and I wanted something that won't went times in the air. The spring is ultra tough and really keeps the lid on. I love the quality and how the handle is metal in comparison to the competition. The only thing I'd say is that you'll want to use a funnel as fuel does like to run down the side of the can; to me it's worth it to have a metal can that is made in the USA!

I'm so glad that I was able to find these metal cans. My father owned one years ago, and as a boy I remember using it. These cheaper plastic containers are absolutely useless now a days. They spill gas, leak everywhere and are now difficult to use because of the regulations that the government has enforced on the valves.Thank goodness for Justrite metal containers. They are pretty much exactly the way I remember them 30 years ago. Pretty easy to use, will last a lifetime and won't leak nor have the possibility to start a fire while in the bed of a pick up truck when filling.I know they may seem a bit pricey. But considering the fact that you will not have to replace your gas container ever again, and they don't swell in sunlight. I think that's a pretty good trade-off.The container came exactly as described. Arrived quickly. And is a pleasure to use. I have absolutely no issues with this container. And would highly recommend it to a professional lawn service provider or the average homeowner that is tired of the government regulated valves and cheap plastic containers available now.
