I soldered leads to the two terminals but its made for the 1/8" connectors ( I only had 1/4"). As others said, it's not a flush mount against a wall, it requires an opening behind it in the wall.

Purchased this switch because we were installing an additional porch light on our fifth-wheel. Purchased the porch light and switch and then wired it to a light inside of the trailer. Mounted the switch on the inside under a cabinet. Works perfectly. Only gave it four stars because I would have preferred the switch was white.

Big pros and cons on this switch. First, they match in with 99.9% of the RV's out there so in that regard, they are a nice RV switch. I will never use them again, however, because they do not lay flush.If you remove the top plate you have the switch portion. On the back, the side facing the wood, the plastic protrudes about 1/8 of an inch. Maybe I missed it, maybe there is a spacer I could use, but from my experience on this switch, if you placed it against the wood and put the cover on, you'd have almost a 1 /8" open gap around the unit and that to me is unacceptable. I bought these for an upgrade project on a friends RV and had to mortar out the wood to allow for the protrusion.

This switch as well as others of the same manufacturer have been a great upgrade to my RV to replace the small tan OEM switches. This one is being used to control a Fantastic Fan that was relocated to the bathroom from the bedroom where is was not needed because of a new AC installation.Instead of moving the thermostat along with the Fantastic Fan I went with this switch to match the light switches I upgraded earlier. Who needs a thermostatically controlled fan in the bathroom anyway? Now just flip the switch, sit down and take care of business.
