Worked fine after several trials. Original had 2 wire slots while this one had 3. If U have 2 wires (1 from power & 1 to lamp), use middle slot for power & the one to lamp either outer slots work. Had to put drop of glue to fit the button otherwise it will fall. Used smal crimp ends to enter wires into switch. 4 stars for button not fit and no wiring instructions. If U get Aliexpress switch type use outer slots for power and lamp.

I bought these for my 2002 Chevy avalanche and they fit when you cut the wires you have to put a little solder on them to get them to stay in the opening slots and then afterwards I used a little hot glue to get the button to stay on so it looks like it came from the factory. They're made a lot better than the original ones that came on the car I wish I'd have bought two and done them both at the same time so I'm going to buy a spare and keep it handy

Very very very slow shipping. 10 days after paying for it before they even shipped it out

This switch works, but I had to glue the button on since the stem of the switch wouldn't hold it on. Also, didn't like having to cutoff the ends of the OE wires to attach them to the new switch. Make sure you take a picture of your old switch wiring or write the locations down as there are no instructions.

I needed to replace my overhead map light switch after someone (probably the mechanic who last drove it...I think ) broke one push-switch. This does not look like the OEM but is actually better and attaches exactly the same as original. The wiring needed a little modification but I was able to trim the brass connectors to slip in the tiny slots and put a little insulation around them just to be sure. GREAT PRODUCT & PRICE !!! My vehicle is a 2001 Silverado extended cab.

This was an exact replacement, down to identification and patent numbers, as the map light switches on my Sierra. Specifically a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT.On my truck replacing the switch required removing the lens (bulb cover) by prying with a small flat blade screwdriver in the two access slots on the rear of the lens. Then the rubber part of the button is a clip fit and simply pops loose by pulling downward. From there I removed two screws holding the overhead console in that location to the left and right sides with a T15 or T20 torx driver, I've already forgotten which size. The front of that console is secured with a slide in clip style fit and simply pulls loose with a downward tug allowing the console to come free. From there the old switch slides off its connector just like unplugging an extention cord at home. Slide the new one on, reinstall the console in reverse order by pushing it into its clips, installing the torx screws, push the rubber of the button into place (clip fit, no glue required), and reinstall the lens. The lens installed easiest with the rear first (closest to back glass) and front last.Exactly what I needed. I wish all original equipment parts were this easy to find online. That said I couldn't find a part number for the switch in any microfiche online so this was a lucky guess by comparing the picture to what I saw in my truck.
