The latch was a 1 for 1 replacement of my old skamper pop up door latch. I had to replace it because the springs were worn out and the shaft inside the latch was twisted. Well the springs were great and like brand new, but the shaft inside on this new one is made of horrible pot metal. It cracked while I was trying to saw it to length. Luckily I still had the old shaft and was able to untwist it and reuse it to prevent having to buy another one.So beware when cutting the shaft. They found the absolute lowest quality metal on the market to use. Other than that the rest of it is good quality and the door opens and closes like new again.

Bought this and didn’t install it right away got around to installing it about a month later (now past the return window) I Installed on my camper closed the door and tested the lock. The inner piece that enables the lock and disables it broke off inside. Luckily after fidgeting with it for a little while I was able to get the door open. I don’t know what I would have done otherwise, I would have had to damage my camper to inside and get the door open. Buyer beware!!

Installed it in a couple of minutes, cut the scored bar to the same length as the old keyless one.The first couple of test unlockings went fine and then it became next to impossible to unlock. Had to open up the door's velcro to get an arm inside... kind of defeats the purpose.I'll try it again but, at this point, it looks like it will only be useful for locking the door from the inside and we could do that with the old keyless one.

Packing was cut open and all the parts were scattered around inside. Over all after assembly it works and I wasn’t missing anything. Works probably and easy to install.

Bought a used Palomino Tent Trailer this spring. No key for the door lock, so I bought this new door handle with key, as it looked the same as mine. Changed it out and it fit perfect. Was fairly easy to change, just had to be careful, not to drop the spring and push pin, when putting it In. ...I had dropped the old ones into the middle of the door, when I took it out, lol. Works great!

Everything was excellent, except that if you have the rod a little too long, the lock can be overridden and I did follow the instructions. If that happens, just trim the rod an additional 1/16th of an inch and it works fine.

Unit was hard to lock and unlock and made of a material that was quite easily bent. Had to be careful when unlocking as it would bend and was scared it would break.

The Product itself is good and well made. But the installation of it on our Coleman Utah pop up tent trailer leaves our door with a loose seal, seems as though it's inside lever is built too far back which keeps the door from having a tight shut.Luckily I really only need the outside handle so I was able to fiddle with it and make it work with my old inside handle by buying shorter screws.Still a well made great product -- will see how long it lasts!

This appeared to be and turned out it was the exact replacement for my 1994 coleman pioneer pop up trailer screen door latch. Best part is it locks. Yes, I have a tent trailer so a locking front door is somewhat rediculous, but I figured it may add just enough security while I was away shortly to discourage someone from breaking in. After all, there is a big difference between opening the door and walking in vs. having to break in elsewhere and possibly be spotted by other campers. The lock and mechanism is powder coated, works nicely, looks good, quiet operation, reasonable price. I replaced a non locking door lock with this one, and it works great !

Bought it to replace a lock that went bad on a popup camper I recently purchased. I took the old lock off and found it was the same exact model that I just purchased. It is meant to fit many camper doors and with some minor adjustments, it fit mine fine. I am concerned about the part that had to be modified. It goes from the lock to the indoor latch. It is made of some type of alloy that can bend if you are not careful. You may need to cut it so that it will fit your door (I had to at least) and that is why it is made that way. The only problem I have with that is that it makes me think it won't last as long. I would have preferred if they made it of steel and included several sizes. We'll see how long it lasts.
