I went a different route of installation. Instead of drilling into roof I used the screws provided and attached to my roof rack with spacers. Doesn’t move at all and no holes!!

Every bit of this thing was surprisingly tough feeling, its hard to explain but it just gives you a pretty good impression which is definitely a good thing since its meant to be attached on the outside of the car. The places join together and I do recommend some water resistant lock-tight or glue to help prevent bolts from backing or loosening till they come off but in the end you end up with a mount that honestly I think could take my weight pretty easy if it needed to. Tough look and feel to it is nicely appreciated!

This is a nice addition to my Jeep, easy to install. Looks nice. Got compliments on it how practical it is. Will come in handy when wheeling and no gas station in side😉

I had been wanting a solution especially with multiple hurricanes in a row to be able to easily carry extra gas. I thought this was going to be the solution to have an extra 12 gallons (4x3gal cans over the rear windows of both sides of the jeep) Alas this was not to be as once I received the item the instructions list putting holes in the hard top which I am not a fan of. I have gone out of my way to ensure I am not putting holes in the roof.This is a no go for me.
