First the good. Being able to stack a few garbage bags/grocery bags and slide on the outer cover = no more bags slipping down into the can. Game changer. It's a nice style and looks great in my bathroom. Big enough to hold what it needs to. Good shape for a tight space.*sigh*Then there's the lid. As others have mentioned, the latch breaks fairly easily. There is a replacement "catch" that came with, but it is the fixed piece on the lid that's doomed. Mine was broken out of the box. I don't have time to deal with a return, so rather than send back and get another one that won't be any better because it's a really poor design, I super glued the very tiny piece back on and built it up with several layers of glue. I have tried to break it off again and it's not budging. My pets don't get into trash so even if it does fail again, no lid isn't a deal breaker for me.I would say don't buy it if you aren't ok with fixing it or returning it when it breaks, or going lid-less, because breaking seems inevitable.Maybe add some glue to make it sturdier just in case 😀

This product meets/exceeds my expectations. Its small size allows it to fit exactly where I want it to and prevents our puppy from getting into the trash. It works exactly as stated, easily opening with one touch of a finger, and looks nice as well.

I have a narrow area to put my trash can and this is not only cute and compact but holds a decent amount of waste. Worth every penny in my opinion!

I bought this to replace an open top style trash bin in our bathroom. I wanted something with a lid so I don’t have to worry about our dog rummaging through the trash if he gets down the hall and into the bathroom. It’s a little less convenient since you have to open the lid every time you want to toss something into the trash, but it works for us since we have the dog and want to keep him safe. The opening mechanism work easily and it holds the normal amount of trash you’d expect for a small bathroom trash. It also fits perfectly in the small space between our toilet and sink cabinet but I measured first to make sure and I recommend others do the same before purchasing.

Good size for my 4-gallon trash bags. Looks nice (though I wish things like this would omit the brand name, though I've positioned mine to be hidden). Pop-open button works well, and they included an extra plastic snap thingy in case the first one breaks (hope that's just good engineering sensibility and not bad design—I'll update this review if it breaks).

Overall I am grateful to have this slim, attractive latching trashcan in my bathroom. The mechanism is simple and springs open when you press the rainbow circle. I must use it four times a day and it remains snug and odor proof.The can came with a roll of 25 replacements, and I easily found more (500 for about $3) online.The caveat is that the little orange latch mechanism stopped working after about 9 months of use. At 4-5 unlatchings a day, that's approximately 1200 uses.It was easily replaced with the extra latch included. The Joybos company does not stock additional latches. However, I've found additional latches listed online and very economical prices and will get them there.

I like the size, color and how easy it is to place and remove the cap. It is still strong enough to keep my dog out of the bathroom garbage (her favorite) and covers anything gross I am throwing away. I recommend a covered trashcan. This one can work in all areas of the house (might be small for a kitchen) but am thinking of getting multiple for the other rooms.
