In an emergency I needed a way to use my generator to supply electricity to my refrigerators, freezer, and window a/c unit without running a cord through a door or window. I drilled the required 1 3/4” hole through a wall in my garage, installed the RV outlet on the outside, installed a duplex receptacle on the interior wall, and connected with 12 gage wire. Worked perfectly and all was easy to install.

I could not torque the screw enough before the head twisted off. The other 2 simular plugs tightened as necessary.

Les extensions 20A ont rarement ce genre de prise et les adapteurs requis sont rares et très dispendieux. J'ai dû le retourner en perdant 50% de sa valeur, car j'ai dû payer les frais de retour et la compagnie s'est gardé 20% de frais, ce qui n'était pas indiqué lors de l'achat. Très déçu.

I used this to wire up some outlets in my milling station in my wood shop. Works great, just make sure you have the correct extension cord. This is for 20 amps at 120 volts. Makes it great for most power tools.

Because the connection is recessed you need to pay attention to the size of the plug end on your cord, mine fit fine but if you have a large cord end it may not fit.

They should provide for 4 mounting screws. The 2 of each type, one at the top and one at the bottom, cause the plastic lip to deform and deform the rubber gasket. Not sure how waterproof it will be. Also, the rubber "cup" on the back only would work, stay tight on the receptacle, if you mounted to a very thin surface. I mounted in an RV wall, about 1" thick, and the cup would not grip the receptacle.But for the price it will do what I need and add a dedicated Air Conditioner, 20A, circuit.
