The GoodLaser is very clear. It can be very easily seen even in fairly bright surrounding light.The Bad1. The pendulum inside the unit can not be locked. This means that the pendulum is left to bounce around when transporting/carrying the unit. Why Johnson did not include this is crazy...2. On most of the levels in this range there is a beeper or other audible sound that warns you when the laser is to far off level for the pendulum to "self level". This unit does not. Instead the laser "blinks". This is ok but would have like something audible.3. The mount has strong magnets to fix unit to a metal object. However there is no knob to adjust the height. Instead you have to grab the unit and pull it up or down. This makes fine adjustments difficult.ConclusionThink Johnson missed an opportunity to make this a great product. Overall the unit seems very average. It does the job it claims to do very well but the excluded features taints this product.

So far so good. Only used it a few times. But it is brighter than the red PLS one which my boss has. Love the adjusting bracket. Makes life easier.

Very disappointed. Product received broken, with no vertical beam. The factory seal was broken and the battery was already installed. This product does not work but the person who sent it already knew that.However, the aftersales service from Johnson was excellent, despite my being oversees, and the laserbeam now works very well, so thank you to them. It is very easy to see, so much clearer than a red beam. I highly recommend this product - but do not buy it through Amazon.
