Johnson is an excellent product for a pocket door, works well, fit and glides nice. Very happy with our purchase!

I used these for a new install, so I cannot speak for longevity yet, but the install was very easy and they glide smoothly. Very happy so far.

I like the way it goes together. Very good quality materials. The instructions could be a little easier to view. The instructions are on the paper but are hard to see (diagrams are too small)

I love these and have installed four now. But I messed up and didn't order the soft close and had to get the retrofit. That wasn't a big deal but I do recommend the soft close (a lot) and read carefully before hitting checkout b/c it's easy to not realize the difference.

Over all I'm happy with it.Simple enough to cut down to size I needed.Over all decent qualityOnly negative is the steel studs are a bit flimsy even with .5 inch plywood on them. The black self tapping screws to attach your plywood or drywall to the metal studs are really bad quality. Every tip broke off before it tapped its way into the steel studs. So I had to go pre drill each screw hole.Other then that I think it's going to work great for my tiny house build.I plan to use about a 50 pound door on this so time will tell if the rollers and track will hold up. If they fail I will update this review. So far I would recommend this.

Great kit for installing a pocket door. Room design included a glass partition between the door top and the ceiling in order to allow window light into a closet area. Steel studs can be cut to necessary length with a cutting wheel on an angle grinder. When sandwiched between drywall, the assembled door is stable, even with minimal overhead framing. Door width can be adjusted and includes all installation and customization instructions. Three wheeled trolleys roll freely on the overhead track and are able to support a heavy door. Frame thickness is 4 inches so it fits well into an exiting wall so there is no loss of space in a room if replacing an existing door with a pocket door.Great price and easy install. All needed hardware is included except for a latch if desired.

Good product, and everything came out well in the end, but here's what I'd do differently if I were doing it over.1. I'd glue in some bracing between the top of the track header and the bottom of the rough opening header. The assembly tends to flex while you're trying to nail jamb and trim into the supplied "studs," and bracing would steady it some.2. The instructions say to first close up the wall, then hang the door. Don't do it that way. Hang the door first, so you can see where the fully open position is, and either align your jamb to it or shim the back of the pocket so the door edge is even with the jamb. If the door is recessed too far, it comes off the nylon guides at the bottom of the split jamb when you open it all the way. I trusted the instructions on this, and wound up having to reopen the wall to shim the back of the pocket.3. The bare wood of the track header is visible if you look up when standing in the doorway. If this concerns you, paint that area before you put it up. It's a lot easier than painting in there after assembly. Don't paint the track itself.4. Actually hanging the door on the rollers is not as easy as they make it sound. An unsharpened carpenter's pencil temporarily stuck into the track will hold the roller in place so you can push the tab into the slot.Like others, I'd have liked sturdier wood in the channels and header, but it's adequate, so I'm glad I bought the commercial version and not the cheaper imported version. The finished door rolls smoothly and looks good.
