Item worked great for 3 months. Tried cleaning out my tank and was shocked with about 56VAC passing through the water. Checked every connection with multimeter and found it to be coming from this unit. Buyer beware. Photo multimeter unit connected v. Disconnected.

I use this on a 7 gallon eshopps Mariana tank. Works great. Keeps the temp nice and stable. Really easy to set up and it’s been running a bit now. Quality is good and the price is more than reasonable for an aquarium chiller. I’d recommend this if you need a smaller chiller!

Set this chiller up to keep a 10gal tank at 50degF in a 70degF room. Initially, it worked great, cooling the take down in a matter of hours, and a separate thermoprobe showed the tank at a steady 50degF for weeks on end.But now, after two months, my tank temp has steadily climbed up to 57 over the past week, and the chiller is running constantly trying to cool it back down to 50. I’ve disassembled it, the condenser looked clean, but I cleaned it with compressed air, with no improvement in performance.Sadly, it seems like the unit is just failing and I’ll be needing to replace it.

Update March 13, 2025After diligently working with customer service, the chiller is working as expected. User error along with unclear instructions, almost cost me my grow. But we're back up and running. Thank you!Original:I've been using this water chiller for almost 2 weeks now. It was a simple plug & play (instructions were unclear) but I figured out enough to get it up and running. I had to reach out to customer service & they responded within a few hours. So far, so good & I would recommend. It's a good value for the money and works as described. I like that it comes with extra parts. No leaks, but I do hear it. Not it's not too loud.

I had initially returned the first unit they had sent me due to a small dent on the corner of this machine. It took about a week and 1/2 to finally get the credit to my account, but it did happen. Just wanted to mention that in case it should happen to anyone else. I plugged in this unit today to see how it worked. The instructions are vague and it is full of typos. It is obvious that it has been translated from another language. But all in all the unit worked really efficiently. I really wanted to write this review to answer a question that I had before I purchased it. I asked the community but since it was only on the market for such a short time nobody could really answer it. And the question was : Can this machine get into the high 30 degree range. And the answer is I THINK SO. I was able to get down to 45 degrees which is plenty cold. The read out on the display showed it would go down into the 30s but I did not go there, but I am pretty sure it will. Hope this helps.
