The real value of this pack is the variety that let's you find what size, shape, color, and texture you like.I tried everything in this pack until I found one I love and ordered more of that specific pick. Now I'll never go back and love my tiny grippy jazz pick.

I started to speed pick and wanted to try out a variety of picks. Many people online suggested Jazz III picks so I looked into it. These picks are smaller than what I've typically used, and it's perfect. The small green one feels really comfortable to use and I've seen a drastic difference in using this in comparison to a medium fender pick for picking fast. So for those who are unsure what you'd feel best with, just drop a few bucks for 6 picks and try it out.

I bought these to try out the jazz iii's. They are pretty good. The grip on the carbon fiber one is okay even though it's max grip, after a few days the sweat from my finger tips wore it down a little. They are also pretty thick but have a nice sharp tip for accuracry. My still of playing is very aggressive so normal picks usually wear down after a few days, these don't wear down as fast. They can play any genre, any pick can really. If you have no idea what a jazz iii is, it's a small pick like the size of a penny. Would recommend

I decided to try some of the smaller and thicker picks out there after hearing some folks talk about these and not being happy with my picking accuracy (beyond my need for technique improvement, which goes without saying). It was really interesting to switch from pick to pick, play with each for a while, over days and days, in different styles and different instruments to find my likes and dislikes and I highly recommend variety packs and these in particular. I'm not going to say I've even come close to a final decision on my preference out of the 6 in this pack as I've only ruled one out as completely not the tdirection I want to go, but they are all good in thier own way and help you figure out the sound, style and preference based on your playing rather than just sticking with what you've always used or what you have on hand.

I bought these on a whim having run low of previous cheap picks. I've always been rather clumsy with picks so would buy cheap but decided to experiment by buying this variety pack from a high quality producer. Honestly I can never go back. Each pack contains enough picks to make it worth the money, as well a big enough variety to justify its label. Its been a luxury to try different picks, all with different sizes, points, and grip for different playing techniques and songs. I would 100% say that they have improved my playing by a long stretch.I now know the best type of pick for me to buy should I lose them but the picks are mostly similar enough so that losing 1 doesnt completely make them redundant.Any player that has never spend a lot of picks because its "just a piece of plastic" I urge you to spend that little bit extra this one time just to try out, even more experienced players who think that maybe the pick theyve used for years is all they ever need could find themselves discovering that theyve been a bit shut off for too longGreat product. 10/10

This variety pack allows you to sample six different Jazz III picks. While the shapes are either standard or XL, the differing plastic types are attributed to a unique feel and rigidity that can influence your play style and/or tone.Find what you enjoy most.

Vastly improved my picking speed and control. These may not be for everyone but at a low cost and variety, it's worth it. They are smaller and thick but durable. My problem was picks that were to thin. Very comfortable to grip.

I've been playing with Dunlop nylon picks for acoustic and Torex yellow .73 for some time but came to use those for really no good reason and thought it was time to experiment a bit. I bought this Jazz III sampler as well as a sampler pack of other Dunlop picks, as well as played with a number of picks I received as promotions or that just came into my possession. Foir the last couple of months I've left about 10 different picks sitting around my home studio just to see which I find myself gravitating to, and for which type of music or which guitar I'm playing. In the end I've come to love the Ultex Jazz III XL as being my favorite size and thickness for most electric guitar playing. I still tend to pick up the old thin gray nylon Dunlops for strumming acoustic, though I've moved to the Yellow Torex 0.73s for picking acoustic. In any case, the point of this review isn't about my choice as everyone has their own preferences, but rather to report that I really like how I've been able to test about a dozen different types and styles of picks and find something that has had a noticeable effect on my playing and, I think, tone, and all from buying a couple of inexpensive sampler packs. I highly recommend this sample pack if you are even thinking of trying a Jazz III pick - the pics in the pack are very different from one another in thickness and size.I took off one star because nowhere does Dunlop tell you which pick is which in the pack and in the end you have to search around to figure it out. They could have easily put this information on the back of the packet, or on a tiny printed insert, but instead you get a bunch of picks with little information on them about what they are and get to try to "match the pick to pictures on Amazon".
