A unique combination of crisp highs, aggressive mids, and a focused low end gives Dunlop Electric Guitar Strings a voice all their own. The Dunlop recipe for string-to-string balance and responsiveness produces string sets that are perfect for dynamic lead work, while notes in a chord ring out clearly whether clean or heavily distorted. These strings are good. I use them on both of my son’s guitars. They lock in and break in nicely. These are great for that usage. They are affordable and it’s not a big deal when strings break. I can throw a fresh set on and not break the bank. They sound surprisingly good and respond really nice. I always have boxes of these strings on hand and have used them for recording. Dunlop makes a good string.

First purchased 5 sets in March 2013, when I needed new strings for my electric guitar. Initially bought these having read reviews on Amazon and other websites to give them a try. At the price what was there to lose? The first set went on a complete restring of the guitar. Found them to be easy to fit and quick to tune. Once tuned they seem to hold tuning quite well. Have restrung the guitar a couple of times since, the rest have been replacements of broken strings mainly high E's occasionally B or G.They take a lot of punishment and still sound great after quite a bit of time in place. How longs? Well, when your high E's start to run out you need to get some more. I re-purchased some more of these little gems in March 2014. Yep, I managed to get 5 sets of strings to last a year - and I've still got some of the lower end strings in the packCheapskate, I know, but there you have it. Great value, great sound, long lasting. Don't believe me? Well why not give a set a try, what have you got to lose?

Been using these strings for a few years now on my electric guitar (use D'Addario on my acoustic). I like the sound of them. That's completely a personal preference thing but I'd recommend these to somebody to try out. They're cheap enough that if you don't like them it's no big deal and I really like them. They feel good and I've put them through a lot of wear and tear so I know they're durable.

These strings are great!I used to be an Ernie Ball Regular slinky 10-46 guy, but these are way better! The Ernie Ball strings corroded to fast and there was constant fret buzz on the 1st fret of the low E string, now matter high much I adjusted the bridge. Now the Dunlop strings, have no fret buzz on the 1st fret of the low E string, and restringing was less of a pain for me on my Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, I only had to stretch the strings 2-4 to get it to stay in tune, versus the Ernie Ball strings where I had to stretch it more than 4. In addition, I really love the three levels of freshness, that Dunlop offers because one time I opened up a NEW pack of Ernie Ball strings and the high E string, and B string were already beginning to corrode!I highly suggest trying these strings out for yourself, you won't regret it.

This 3-pack is all I buy now. The strings will tune quickly and stay that way after just a bit of stretching when you first put them on, and the tension is just right on a 24.75" neck in standard tuning (I can just barely hit that 5-semitone bend on Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2, which is really all I ask for). The strings last a good while, and retain that brand-new brightness for two weeks before even the most hardcore players would consider a string change. Apart from that what else can you really say about guitar strings? The packaging is nice I guess, but I would have liked some free picks in every box...Edit: I've recently experienced a rash of broken e-strings with these strings. Every time the strings were on for more than 3 weeks, but still I've been getting annoyed now that my third set in a row has experienced a broken e-string (the first two were due to your everyday two-semitone bend. The last one was probably my fault for trying a five-semitone bend on an e-string). Maybe it's my fault for not changing strings more often, but I feel that a pair of strings should be able to last over a month in the hands of your average player.
