I hate when product descriptions are misleading but this one is a straight out lie! Material is of the cheapest, roughest polyester. Please don't waist your time.

This piece is actually well made and will work fantastic if you don’t care which fabric you are getting. This may be a silk/polyester mix or just polyester but it’s not even soft like polyester satin or cheap silk. The stitching is very good but rough. The polyester cord is burned at the end so it won’t unravel, which is smart. This may be perfect for your oboe if you don’t need silk.

Does not fit through an oboe and risk of getting jammed if you force it. Does not fit through my Yamaha Custom 831 or a Cabart. Returning back today.

I was ordering a lot of things for my band and, unfortunately, didn't read the reviews. This swab is TOO THICK AT THE BOTTOM FOR OBOE. The oboe player I gave it to was pulling it 1/2 way out, then pulling the bottom string to back it out. It works great for a clarinet, which is what I'll transfer it to, but I would recommend the Hodges swabs. They are the best cheap ones for oboe. I've used them for our 9 other oboes and they're perfect.PLEASE REMOVE THE WORD "OBOE" FROM YOUR ITEM DESCRIPTION!!!

I bought this for my B flat clarinet. Works well and is a pretty color.

The item name and description both say this can be used with an oboe, but it doesn't even remotely fit through one. It might work for a clarinet, but the metal rod at the end simply cannot get through the neck of an oboe.

The cloth is easy to use but needs a bit heavier end to drop in without catching.
