It screwed right on. Perfect hole alignment with original holes. Screws were right size and the added adjustment with multiple positions. She is ready to play this Christmas Eve. Now to keep track of the extras.

This is a well made adjustable thumb rest. Note that it does not have any cork padding so get a thumb rest cushion as well (the larger modern size). Most players already have several cushions to this isn't an issue.The screw spacing is designed for modern clarinets so it's a good replacement for those entry-level student models that may not have an adjustable thumb rest. If you have a vintage clarinet, pre-1990 then the screw spacing on this thumb rest may be too wide. It does not fit my 1959 LeBlanc but fit perfectly on my Buffet Premium.

This fit my Buffet Crampon E11 Bb clarinet with no issues. Out of concern for the wood, I reused the screws that held my fixed thumb rest rather than the screws that came with these. Having said that, the screws appear to be the same and are of reasonable quality. I just didn't want to chance it.I had intentions of swapping the adjustable thumb rest on my Buffet Crampon E11 Eb Sopranino clarinet due to the set screw being the type that has a loop for a neck strap (seriously, why would you need a neck strap for a clarinet so small?) In the end, as luck would have it, I found that the set screws from this set fit perfectly and I didn't have to replace the whole rest.The remaining sets I'll keep for spare parts or, perhaps, if I ever get an "A" clarinet.

This product appears to be well made. The price for 5 units is unbeatable. However, these do not fit the Buffet R13 BUT they did fit my Loree AK oboe surprisingly. The back of the curved attaching piece touching the instrument should be filed down flush for a better fit.
