The cork is brittle and fairly difficult to adhere to the instrument (1968 Bundy Clarinet). The cork breaks so easily, especially the barrel cork, that I had to purchase another kit from another seller solely for barrel cork. The utensils, screwdrivers et al., are okay in quality and serve their purpose. The product arrived well on time and the instructions are detailed and well-organized. Overall, if they improved the quality of the cork or provided a few more pieces of cork to compensate, I could recommend it.

I purchased this kit to help the students I volunteer with at the school. Some of them need instrument repair, but can't afford it. I am so glad I was able to get this kit and help them!!! They are glad too!!!

A couple of downsides. The cork strips are all identical in thickness. It would have been nice to have a thinner strip included. . Fix? On replacing the second cork, I flat sanded the cork BEFORE gluing it on to the clarinet. This saved a lot of "on the horn" sanding. Next, I cannot remove the cover from the pads. They are super stuck. I tried to cut them off with a razor blade which pulled the felt from the cup pad. The rest of the kit is ok. I am waiting for a reply from seller about the pad covers. Could not find info on their website. Good help from youtube videos.

For the price, this is a pretty good kit. However:- "Double Skin" may lead you to think these are leather pads. They're not. They're felt and other composite, with plastic facing.- The screwdriver isn't nearly as hefty as the one shown in the picture, but it does work.- The small bottle of clear fluid (top right in picture) is unlabeled, and I'm still not sure what it's for.- The glue pellets do not come in a recloseable tube, but in a small plastic bag that is not recloseable. Meh.- The bristles on the brush will pull out of the handle if you are aggressive while cleaning it. (I quickly replaced mine with a better brush.)- The instructions are very good.- The bore light is GREAT! Wonderful tool, and shines laterally as well as straight ahead.Overall, for the price, it's hard to beat. I used the kit to overhaul a flea market clarinet, and it turned out fantastic! It does take quite a few hours to do a good job, though. Hint: I used a Dremel with wire brush attachment to clean the tenons after cutting off the cork - that worked great. There's nothing in the kit otherwise that'll help you do that part of the job well.

Recorked and repadded my daughter's clarinet following a youtube video. All supplies worked like a charm.

great clarinet kit, worked well for me to get a used clarinet I purchased up enough for me to play. I was more successful doing the corks vice pads, I ended up redoing the pads I did the first time, I used to many glue rounds the first time. great kit, couldn't be happier.

I bought this with another repair kit to learn a new skill and bring an Evette Master Model back to life. Worked great!
