JENOLITE Plastic Primer Aerosol
For use on most types of plastic
Jenolite Plastic Primer Aerosol is a specially formulated primer paint, that has fantastic bonding properties to almost all types of plastic including polypropylene, resin, PVC, fiberglass and vinyl plastics.
Leave smooth surface ready for topcoat
Using a modern acrylic formulation it enables fantastic adhesion to the smoothest of surfaces and provides a very durable finish.

Ideal for use on plastic garden furniture, planters, plastic models, and most other hard plastic surfaces.

How to use
Prepare the area to be treated, ensuring freedom from dust, grime, greases, oils etc, using an appropriate degreaser.
- APPLY DIRECTLY TO A COOL SURFACE Shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes. Repeat shaking at regular intervals during use. Apply sparingly from a distance of 20 – 25cm. Apply typically 2 to 3 coats or as necessary to achieve total and even coverage, leaving 10 – 15 minutes between each application.
- ALLOW TO DRY Allow at least 30 minutes to dry thoroughly before applying a topcoat. Suitable for use with both water-based & oil-based topcoats.
- STORAGE & REUSE To prevent blockages, invert the can after use and spray for 2 seconds. This aerosol should be stored out of direct sunlight, in a cool well ventilated place. Consult the safety data sheet before use.

I shook the can as instructed before using it. It spray normal for two seconds then shot like silly string and glops. This ruined the smooth finish I'm trying to achieve.

"Polyethylene is by far the most common type of consumer plastic" - web search. Jenolite Plastic Primer DOES NOT ADHERE any more than plain old Rustoleum spray paint, specifically the cheap stuff sold everywhere. Note the false claims by Jenolite: "ASSURES SURFACE ADHESION: Bonds with plastic surface making it ideal preparation for hard-to-paint plastics.....Suitable for almost all types of plastic". See my photo. It rubs right off with a light stroke of a fingernail. This false advertising is significantly worse than the usual exaggeration or "puffery". Jenolie wasted my time. I am asking for my money back.
