Expensive but best design available.I delayed my purchase looking for more affordable options but finally gave in after not finding any better options. The way the arms extend and metal ‘spikes’ deploy secure the Jawjacker in place. They provide a high level of comfort that your equipment won’t end up down hole before reach it. That allows you to fish larger areas. When done fishing the spikes fold up, the arms fold back in flush with the spine, the rod holder collapses/folds down and the trigger slide retracts back into it resulting in an extremely compact unit. It takes up minimal space whether you use a bucket or a sled.Though plastic, it seems very durable. Once you get passed the dollar to plastic ratio you’ll be pleased with your purchase decision. I am.There is still room for design enhancement. Adding some kind of audible alert would be beneficial. I don’t always notice the Jawjacker is triggered immediately. I attached a bell to my rod to help alert me that the unit has triggered. It would be great if something was integrated into the unit.

The jaw jacker is amazing. Before getting one I went ice fishing about 4 times with no luck, always fishing 2 poles at a time and occasionally getting bites but no catches. Then I got a jaw jacker and every bite is now a catch. I'm hooked.

Like how it sets up. Don’t like the loop that attaches to pole. Hard to put on .
