I use these marker pens for embroidery projects. I love that they come in different colors, make a fine line, and disappear with heat from the iron. I've included a work in progress.

The blue ones always work. The white ones never work at all. I will try a different brand next time.

Struggled with other quilt marking products that didn’t erase and left residual marks on my quilts. Used the black pen to mark my quilt top, stitched it and ironed. Black marks are completely gone!! They do go through ink quickly but I’m ok with that since they are so easy to use and work as advertised!! 👍🏻

I absolutely love these "pens!" They work exactly as presented in the description provided on the webpage. I have been using them to mark where a pocket should be placed, and also on my embroidery and crewel projects and the lines disappear, as promised, when an iron is run over them. They are a comfortable fit when using, exactly like a ball point pen would be. The removal does NOT leave marks on the bottom of the iron, which is very important, as well.

Bought a different type, not very good so after a bit I just tossed them. I probably wrote a review on that one.Update on the order. It is at the bottom of the earlier review. Wish we could respond to each other. I know we used to, but cancer keep me from being online for four years, so was surprised to see it removed. This one, at first, I was a bit aggravated as I thought it was going to be like the earlier one. But hubby fooled around with it and came up with an idea. He put the ring on the tube of ink and then rolled on the cap for the ink to be able to be used.Works! Have used it making the border lines in the blocks. On a practice piece of fabric, I just wrote a few words and then set aside to have time to "dry". Hubby sprayed some Spray and Wash on it and then ran some hot water from the sink and no disappearing of the marker. I read the instructions (he ignored them - typical male) so told him to let the material to dry, which he did, then ironed it and set it aside. Marker was gone. So, worth the money spent, since it did disappear and will come in handy as I make lots of quilts.Update: Not as happy as I was the first few days I had them. After I had posted, the ink quit, even though we could see some in the tube. We took them out and put in new ones. They worked fine at first and then all of a sudden, even though the was still a lot of ink in the tubes it would not write on the material. Also learned that to get refills you have to rebuy the pens, you can't buy just the ink by itself. In the package of carbon paper, the red, blue, green and black work. The yellow does not show up at all. Also, found out that if you let it set for three or more days, ironing it won't remove the ink. Have ordered Shout Out, Advanced (don't remember full name. stupid chemo brain)Don't know if what I am stating is similar to what others are dealing with, but feel cheated, and stupid for writing my preview so early before giving time to really see how it works.

I am very new to working with anything fabric related that requires a pattern, so naturally the first project I chose is a bodysuit with all the rhinestones. I’ve been having so much anxiety over mapping out the design, I’ve had to wash this thing multiple times and have gone through multiple tide pens, and have a huge mess of pen, marker, and chalk to try and clean off with no usable pattern drawn on. I ordered these out of desperation because I was on the verge of giving up on the project all together and they have saved me. The ink disappears as soon as the iron touches it, and it also works with hot air from a hairdryer so if you have to mark in a place that an iron may not be able to access you can still erase it. Being that the ink disappears I was able to mark out 1/2 in measurements on the seams it changed everything. I was able to draw things out, erase what I didn’t like, and try again. I can use different colors to try out different little changes before committing to erasing everything, and all of this gave me the confidence to jump in and draw out my design. The pens do dry out pretty quickly, so make sure to keep the caps on when not in use. I’ve been using my Cricut mini press, so it’s easier to more “precisely” erase unwanted marks. The markings do disappear if the iron gets too close even without contact, so the maneuverability and size of the heat source does make a difference.

I bought these awhile ago, and I wanted to take the time to review them. I find sometimes with things that are supposed to mark fabric and erase with heat, when heat is applied it can actually smear the product that is supposed to come off, which can ruin a project. These absolutely come off with heat! So just what I needed. Easy to use to draw on fabric, too.

I've tried many markers in my quilting. These mark distinctly, with a fine line, which I need for marking quilting patterns onto quilt tops. And they truly do erase when ironed. The ink gets used up rather fast, so my recent marking of a large quilt took several of the refills. I keep them in an air-tight, zipper-locked bag just to ward off any drying. But they don't seem prone to dry out. So long as I can keep getting refills, I will prefer this marking system to all others.
