What can one reasonably expect from a 12-volt, AC transformer. It puts out 12 volts, AC, and has had no issues after perhaps 100 hours of service, so I’d say that rates five stars.

My main purpose for purchasing this power adapter is for measuring AC power quality, including mains power. I wanted an isolation transformer so that my oscilloscope doesn’t form a ground loop when also plugged into mains power. To that end, this adapter succeeds. As soon as I picked it up, the heft told me of a good sized transformer inside. And a quick test with my Fluke meter confirmed that the inputs and outputs are truly isolated. I am deducting one star though, as both my Fluke meter and oscilloscope shows an output of 15V instead of 12V. I imagine most devices requiring 12V AC will likely also work with 15V AC, but check your device’s specifications to be sure.
