The inexpensive tape is overly thin and prone to tearing when you attach a showerhead. Attempting to compensate by adding more layers only creates a tangled mess during installation. This product excels because it’s thick, seals flawlessly, and prevents leaks when installing shower-heads or tackling other tasks where plumber’s tape is essential.

Had cheap thin sealing tape sent with my new air hose real with 1/2 hose fittings. When I wrapped the threads and tightened up fittings added supplied air at 90 PSI and fittings were leaking bad. Once I received this tape found it 3 times as thick and once applied a couple times clockwise around the male threads and tightened fittings supplied 90 PSI air found no leaks. I do recommend this thread tape for air for sure.

I recently used this thread seal tape when I drained and refilled the differentials on my jeep wrangler. It worked great. Much sturdier than the typical white seal tape. Didnt bind up the drain plugs. Will use on my other vehicles as well. 👍🏻

A lot of tape for your buck!! This is the way to go!! Easy to use. Larger roll than the basic ones.
