The print quality, readability and color family notations are well done. Also includes mixing tips and a gray scale. A must have for any art classroom. I last bought this set over 5 years ago. They hold up well especially if you laminate them as I do. Good reference tool, my middle school students use them a lot. I love all Jack Richeson products and recommend this set.

Recently taught color theory paint party to 3 groups of young women, ages 8-15 (totaling 125). These wheels were invaluable! Most kids this age learn by listening, seeing and doing. This wheel addresses the primary, secondary and tertiary colors in very simple language. They are in inexpensive, has a nice slick touch, and just the right size to fit in an art case, booking, etc. They are made from a heavy duty cardstock. I'm sure if laminated, these would last years as a teaching tool.

Teaching a class to beginners on color theory. These were purse-sized and contained all of the necessary items (tonal chart, explanation of color schemes, etc.). The cardboard was sturdy so it should last with minimal use. It's not something I would recommend for a professional who will be using it every day. But for a beginner with limited use, it's perfect.

Great set of color wheels to use in the classroom, but in wish they were printed on heavier stock. Back side of card includes basic vocab..very helpful for students. Knowing the lack of respect my students (high school) have for class materials, I made sure to laminate these before putting them out at the tables during our unit on color theory. Worth the money, but I dont see them lasting more than a school year or two without laminating them.

These are small color wheel and value charts. The value charts tell you the percentage of saturation of the gray - a really nice way to think about values. The colors are accurate and easy to interpret if you are mixing oils. I accidentally ordered a packet of them and thought "Dang what am I going to do with them all?" but in my oil painting I am a slob and my value charts take a beating with paint and whatever. So I'm glad I got the pack. I don't know how long it will last but I know I will go through them - I'm still enough of a beginner that I reference values and color wheels constantly because for me landscapes are still something I have to construct. If you're at that level a package of these will work just fine because you get paint and OMS and who knows what all over them, so you burn through the things. Recommended.
