It works pretty well on my gas stove. Easy to clean. The Takoyaki mixture gets well distributed. The divisions make it easier to divide each ball. Plus is made in Japan. Brings back good memories...

This is the best takoyaki pan. The ridges makes it easy to separate the batter while cooking. The spaces underneath helps to lock the pan on any stove. It’s worth the price. Such a good buy!

Après avoir usé durant plus de 20 années ma précédente poêle à takoyaki importé du Japon, acheté grace à mon maître natif de Nippon, j'ai eu du mal à en trouver une qui lui "arrivait à la cheville"; c'est maintenant chose faite.Le positif- La taille, le poids et la forme de cette poêle à takoyaki sont parfaites pour moi.- Très facile à utiliser avec la bonne recette; la traditionnelle.- L'antiadhésif est fonctionnel (reste à voir sa durabilité).- Les encoches de stabilisation sont complètement adaptées à ma gazinière.Le neutre.- Simple à nettoyer, mais cela prend du temps à cause de la forme (évidemment).Le négatif.- Les poignées ne sont pas isolées de la chaleur (mais ce n'est qu'un détail pour moi).- Un tarif franchement élevé; mais bon c'est de l'import.Bref.Ce produit me donne pleinement satisfaction.

Mi esposa que es japonesa me pidio comprar esta sartén de takoyaki. La compramos por unos 38€ en una oferta del prime day. El producto es 100% japones, mi esposa ya lo sabia porque conocia la marca, pero cuando ves la caja te das cuenta porque esta todo escrito en ese idioma. Igualmente no hay problema porque el producto no tiene mucha ciencia, es ponerlo en un hornillo y echar la mezcla para takoyaki.Muy recomendable usar un hornillo de campingas para una experiencia 100% japonesa, perfecto para hacerte una cena con amigos mientras preparais los takoyakis en la mesa, además el producto parece tener unas endiduras que lo ajustan bien al hornillo y evita que se mueva mucho mientras manipulas la masa para darles la vuelta, evitando así que se caiga. Recomendación: Usad un fuego moderado.Diría que este producto es exclusivo para preparar takoyakis, si no sabes lo que son o no tenias intención de prepararlos no lo compres.Pros:- buen material, resistente- no se pega (aunque deberías usar aceite igualmente)- no pesa mucho- distribuye bien el calorcontras:- la caja viene completamente en japones. Aunque esto no es realmente un contra porque no es un producto complicado de usar, la gente lo suele comprar ya con la idea de hacer takoyaki y sabiendo lo que es. Incluso diría que algunos verán esto un pro.

Made takoyaki on these. They fit and lock onto my gas stove well. Heat gets distributed well. They're also great for making pancake balls. Feels light hut durable.

I used cheap electric plate before I try this.This one gives me better experience overall.Size of the ball is good. Durable. Don’t give me weird taste.Cooking time etc are totally fine.Good for price.

We love this for making takoyaki as well as vegetarian takoyaki with mushrooms. It's easier than we'd initially thought. This unit is advertised for a specific counter top stove, but it works perfectly well on any gas stove top. I do have concerns regarding how well it would work on an electric stove though. Another plus is that it's quite easy to clean.

This was sitting in my cart for over a year as I dislike purchasing limited use items but since it will be a long time before I can get Takoyaki from the local night market or Japan, I finally made the purchase. I regret not buying it sooner as it is totally worth it! The pan has a solid weight and is non-stick but make sure you use still use enough oil to get a nice colour and crisp. Takoyaki from restaurants in the area tend to be deep fried and greasy, it's so much better cooked this way. Item is as pictured, worked fine on a coil stove top, the corners do take longer to cook but I just move those to the middle as I'm plating. The recipe provided is simple and delicious, I may play around with the recipe by adding starch to make it stay crispy. I've already made this two days in a row! I will never have to line up for 30 mins at the night market or pay $10 for 6 balls anymore!

Works well. Very light, non-stick surface. Fits snug on portable butane cook top. Aluminum doesn't quite distribute heat as evenly as the old cast iron style, but the results are decent. Add some seasoned seaweed, some bonito flakes and some takoyaki sauce and it's all good. I would definitely recommend it.

I've made several batches of takoyaki now. This is much better (and proper) way of making takoyaki, as opposed to what I was doing prior, which is improvising using a cakepop maker. The takoyaki pan has grooves running up and down and laterally between the takoyaki chambers, so after pouring the batter, just trace using a bamboo stick or takoyaki poker to divide the batter, just jam it in that notch and trace. So easy! And no doubting yourself whether or not one takoyaki had more batter than the one next to it. I also like the sturdy construction of this takoyaki pan. It's built to last.Sometimes good octopus and fresh octopus is not easy to get in Los Angeles. I pulled from the takoyaki Git repository and made a fork to the default recipe, replacing octupus with BACON. I call this creation BACOYAKI. What you do is this, cut a couple of bacon strips into good bite sizes. Then, before adding any batter, place a bacon chunk into each takoyaki (bacoyaki?) chamber. Let each bacon piece cook somewhat, but not too much, just enough to develop some color. If a piece of bacon is exceedingly fatty, soak it up using some kitchen paper. At this point go ahead and pour the batter as you normally would, and make the BACOYAKI as you normally would. Enjoy!!!

Good package and shipping was okThis pan is well made and it conduct heat very well. I set it on the normal gas stove with medium heat and it produces as well cooked takoyaki. Besides, the ball size it produces is very comparable to most renown JP restaurants that sell it. So, it does meet the expectation. Washing and cleaning is also very easy (I hand wash with sponge and soap effortlessly).Unfortunately, since I bought this. It made me feel like making takyaki is like making pan cake (in terms of how easy it is to do) so I did it so many times within a short span. The problem is that I am now quite satisfied with the ability and the taste of it. so, my drive to cook more often has drastically decreased. This pan is back in the box and patiently await my crave for takoyaki to rise up again !!
