I use them on drill presses with inverted lapping wheels...Works great but a bit pricey for what it is.

These are about 0.036" undersized. So if you're expecting a 1/2" diameter arbor adapter, you're not getting that. While these arbor adapters can be used on lower speed (drill motor) applications and simple, non-concentric uses, such as wire wheels with flanges, don't expect to use them on any higher speed or concentric required devices, like abrasive wheels, grinding wheels, rubberized abrasives, or any wheel or use that must run concentric and true. I'll adapt mine by using plastic shim stock, but clearly they are limited in their use. Don't take chances with anything that must run true with this adapter, unless you're a machinist, you won't get there from here. Be Safe!

Because the washers are not dished the clamping pressure is near the centre making it more likely that clamping a grinding wheel might make it crack. Plain washers are ok for mounting buffing pads or wire brush wheels. It's a pity that a very large screwdriver is needed to tighten the wheel in place, a hexagonal head that could be tightened with a spanner would be better. The packaging claims that the arbor can clamp a wheel that is up to 1 inch thick. Not so. The arbor only has the capacity to clamp wheels up to 0.6 inch thick, 0.7 inch if you leave out the washers. It has a maximum speed of 6,000 rpm. It's made in China.

Not much to say here. It's a generic arbor for using cheap shaft mount tools (such as wire wheels) with a die grinder or drill. I got this to use 3" for my angle die grinder and it works quite fine. For the sake of fun facts, the thread is 1/2-13 LH and the nut is some kind of hardened steel with O.D. of 3/4.

Good quality, but expensive for what it is. Can find basically the same thing at local hardware stores for less than half the price. Look for Ryobi at HD, for example. Went to buy one there, but this got left in my Amazon cart and I checked out on my phone, not realizing it was still there. No sense sending it back. I paid 9 for this, HD has them for under 4.
