I purchased the clock for its bluetooth and auto dimming features. The clock is easy to setup for time/date and bluetooth. Unfortunately the auto dimming is very weird. Sometimes it works and sometimes is cycles or flashes between full bright and full dim. It's like it can't figure out what to do. Also the volume rotator is touchy and hard to get just right without activating other functions. I am sending back for replacement.

This alarm clock has a lot of cool features. You can set two alarms and switch between them easily. You can program radio stations and choose which station to hear and at what volume for your alarm. Although, I admit the process is a little over complicated as most clock radios just use the station and volume that it was left at previously.I bought this for my mum because she hasn’t come around to using her phone as an alarm yet. She said it was hard to figure out and Way Too Bright. Even the dimmest level was too bright to sleep in the same room with.

Most of all I like the automatic dimmer. The light is bright during the day which makes it easy to see. When its dark at night it automatically dims to a faint glow but easy to see. It will shine brighter at night when room lights are on but automatically dim when all lights are out.The USB adapter is a nice plus so I can plug my phone in. I usually keep my phone by the bedside. The radio reception is very good and the speaker has a good sound. The controls on the top of the radio are easy to see.

I didn't know what to expect based on some of the negative comments, but this clock is perfect for my needs. It also syncs the time, so all I had to do was plug it in and the time and day were correctly displayed. Not setting or trying to figure out how to do so. I haven't tried the radio yet, but that wasn't the purpose for the purchase.

I like that it has the lighting at the bottom of the clock and that it has theee settings for this feature. I like the big numbers display that makes it easy to see. The only thing is the volume even on the lowest volume it is a bit to loud. Just needs on more notch to lower the volume for an office setting. Other than that it sounds great and it’s compact.

I've owned several radio alarm clocks over the years. And over the years setting almost any feature wasn't simple. Instructions not well written at all and couldn't set some features no matter how I tried. I have two Emersons for different rooms but for some reason the time was 3-4 minutes off the automatic settings. I bought a Reacher which was decent but it only had single alarm. I decide to try this since it was dual alarm (FM only; wished AM too but not a big deal) and the price was good. I was surprised off the bat that when I plugged in in the time set automatically and accurate to that on my smart phone. I was not expecting this! Pleasantly surprised. Instruction was decent but a bit confusing and small print (ergo 4 stars) on how to set alarm but after a few tries all worked out. Definitely recommend ...may purchase another one.

My old clock radio has been dying for a while, with dials and buttons wearing out. My needs in a clock radio have been shaped over the decades by my first one, a Sony Dream Machine in the 80's.This one nearly does everything I need. The display isn't red, check. Dual alarms so I can keep one set to my usual time and one for variable special days, check. Decent, loud enough sound, check (I can hear it clearly from the next room when it's only at 7 out of 15 volume). A sleep timer so I can set it to play for a while but shut off after I've left, check. Good big numbers for my myopic eyes, check. A big enough chassis to find with a sleepy flailing hand plus prop up my glasses case for hiding the light at night, check. It adds in some bonuses. Automatic tuning to the next station is nice, for those rare occasions I want to listen to the other classical station in my area. Automatic dimming is also very nice. I still block the face with my glasses case at night, but there's a lot less light so nothing leaks out. The night light feature is a good thing, as I frequently come to bed after my husband so it gives me enough light to change into my nightclothes and is very easy to shut off once I'm in bed. The fact that I don't have to set the time, it just knows, is fantastic (though it makes me wonder how it knows and if it's part of the internet of things). Although there are a lot of buttons to wrangle, they are dimpled with little dots in the dimple to help find them by touch. I haven't tested the bluetooth option as I don't usually use my phone as a music source, nor do I keep my phone by my bed so I haven't tried charging it through the clock.Downsides: No nap timer. I could have sworn it had one, but I was researching a lot of clocks and must have mixed it up with another contender. Now and then I just need a bit of shut-eye and I want the radio to cut on to wake me up after an hour or two. I have to use my cell phone for that now. No standard sleep timer. I used to have it set to an hour, and one button touch activated it. On this clock I need to tap it once per ten minute increment desired, so I often seem to forget and just leave it playing all day. The blue glare of the nightlight is probably not the best color for heading to bed, given all the warnings about blue light at night from screens. A soft golden hue would be more relaxing. But I can see they wanted to match the display. It took a while to find a way to hang the antenna so I didn't have a constant static hiss on the radio. Unfortunately, the only working position for it is draped over the headboard, crossing in front of the bed post. As it is a white wire, this is visible and trashy looking. I am severely myopic. I did just yesterday get new glasses and can see the display better now, but the smaller indicators are still hard to read. My old clock had a dot that showed in the am and nothing in the pm. This clock has "am" and "pm" indicators with the relevant one lit up in the same general location so I can't tell just by position. This is minor, as I can tell by sunlight, but can affect setting the alarm correctly. While the time is in good big numbers, all the little info indicators take squinting and leaning in to tell what they are saying. I may eventually have them memorized enough to know what they are from a distance but for now they're just clutter. The silver case doesn't match my bedroom. This is super minor, I don't keep a House Beautiful of coordinated decor, but my previous clock was black and that worked better in the space. Battery: I believe it needs a small disk battery, not a standard cylinder one, and it's giving me the little icon for low battery, so they didn't send me one that was fully charged. I don't get a lot of power failures, but I have to figure out the exact battery needed and order one. A bit of a hassle.None of the downsides are deal breakers, but it's hard enough to find a clock radio to fit a specific person's needs, so I wanted to be as detailed as I could to help. Sorry for all the resulting verbiage!
