Horrible product; never worked. I could tell from the jump that the cable was very fragile, so I was extra careful with it. When I opened it up to check it, I pulled on the plug to remove it from the battery and a completely different section of the cable ripped off. There was no tension on it either.

Works great as advertised. The battery and cover plate are snug once the cable is installed but just be gentle with it and it will be fine.

This kit works well and is easy to install. It requires 1/2” hole to be drilled in the door frame if you plan to hide the wire. This unit powers the keypad but does not charge the battery so charge it before you install the kit so it is available if the power fails. No modification of the keypad is required the ribbon wire will come out the side of the battery cover just fine and the lid will seal.

Makes it easy to supply power and do away with the annoyance of having to recharge the battery every month. In order to hide the cable completely I drilled a hole at the bottom of the camera plastic case with a Unibit and made it just large enough to fit the cable plug thru it. Using the hole as a template against the garage door concrete frame I drilled thru the masonry in incremental bits going up to a 3/4 inch hole which easily lets the cable plug end pass thru and hides the cable.

Even in sub freezing temperatures the battery remains charged. Not difficult to install. No more having to change out battery.

no more charging the battery every month. Fit right in, drilled hole into garage, plugged it in and done.

This product fixes the one problem I've had with Chamberlain's MyQ video garage door opener. As sold, that opener's battery has to be recharged monthly, and takes several hours to do so. In addition, getting access to the battery requires removing and reinstalling a tiny Phillips head bolt that is far too easy to drop and lose when handled. This kit leaves the battery in place, trickle-charging continuously via an included USB A charger over a 25 foot cable.MyQ has recently offered another solution to the same problem - replacing the standard battery and holder with a dummy battery and new holder that also plugs into the wall via a long cable.I ordered both solutions, but ended up using this one because it keeps working during a power failure, unlike a dummy battery. The one with the dummy battery is also working well in my son's garage. My one complaint about both solutions is that the length of the extension cable is not adjustable, and much longer than I needed to reach an outlet.Even so, this solves a real problem well and permanently. Recommended.

This cable works by plugging into the charging port of the battery in the keypad. You then need to string the flat cable around the battery, out through both the battery door and the mounting bracket for the keypad. It is also easy to damage the cable while doing so. And of course, you have to string the cable to somewhere you can plug it in. But it does work and avoids the problem of having to replace your keypad batteries all the time which as keypad owners we know is a real pain. The cable comes with a 10watt AC adapter and nail-in cable clips. But no documentation of any type...
