I bought this to use with (M4 machine screw) hollow door anchors. It seems to be a fine, well made tool. However, the two rounded, V-shaped notches—that are supposed to 1) fit around a machine screw and 2) grab/pull the screw head—do not get narrow enough for smaller size screws. (Note that M4 means that the nominal outside diameter of the threaded portion of the screw is 4mm.) The tool kept slipping off, as it could not properly grab the relatively small M4 screw head.It appears that, this tool was designed for anchors using larger machine screws, probably M6 (or 6mm diameter) or larger screws. This should be clearly stated in the product description; is IS NOT. However, there is a work around - for the smaller screw sizes, the tool will work by an anchor using a screw with a large diameter—preferably pan, dome, round, or cheese style—screw head. Do not try to use any countersunk head screw to set an anchor, with this tool. Once the anchor is set, any head style can be used.With all this in mind, this tool should work well.

takes alittle practice, but. i never used one before....after very basic utube....and three practice trys .. it seemed to get the job done.

I used these anchors to mount a spice rack, paper towel holder, and 2 towel bars in a travel trailer. The walls are approximately 1/8" thick and traditional plastic hollow wall anchors don't have enough wall to mount properly. These were very easy to install and installed tightly to the wall.

I’ve installed wall anchors for decades and always had a few problem anchors that would spin and not expand, sometimes tearing up the wall to the point where the quality of the anchor was suspect. Not any more! A brilliant solution to the perfect anchor every time! High quality, well made and easy to use.

This is a fantastic tool for installing wall anchors. Admittedly, it’s not a job I have to do every day — but when I had to rehang some window coverings in our camper (walls too thin to grab the “spikes” of the anchors), the potential issues involved in installing a dozen anchors pushed me into finally buying the right tool for the job. I’m kicking myself now — the tool doesn’t cost much, and it made the job almost trivial. Why did I wait so long?
