It is hard to find a sturdy, well made Molly tool. This one works fine and it included seven well made Molly anchors, not the cheap stuff many sellers sell that don’t expand correctly and have less strength. I wish the Molly tool had longer handles. They all seem to be the same compact design, regardless of brand. I had a bigger Molly setting took decades ago that gave much more leverage. Lost all my tools in a house fire over 13 years ago

Molly screws provide a strong anchorIn drywall and generally are superior to screw in wall anchors even the better metal ones. The problem is when you set the Molly screws you tap the rather sharp cleats into the wall setting it flush. This is supposed to anchor it so when you turn the screwIt expands the arms of the Molly anchor behind the wallboard and provides a strong anchor. And there is often the problem. Many times I find when you tighten the screw the anchor turns in the hole and either rips loose or fails to tighten and expand properly. Then you have a real problem and end up with a bigger hole in the drywall too big to hold the Molly screw. So this device changes all of that. You use a hammer to set the Molly screw and then the tool pushes the Molly toward the wall as it pulls the strew outwards and expands the arms of the Molly screw. No twisting at all. It's wonderful and overcomes the design flaw of the Molly screw. Well worth the small cost and I highly recommend it. They give you a few of several sizes of Molly screws so be sure to order more of the sizes you need. But this is a great simple tool that really works.

It's ok, though I question now whether I really needed the tool. If you're careful, you can use the edge of a screw driver to hold the sheath in place while you screw out the mushroom part in the wall. As other users mentioned, the molly bolts this comes with are EXTREMELY cheap and flimsy. Had I known, I may not have purchased. Ended up going to the hardware store for better quality ones (not cheap, almost 70 cents each for a small one)UPDATE: The company reached out after my review and offered a full refund, which I declined. It was nice of them to offer, but the product is fine and worth the low price they ask. 3 starts for the tool and molly bolts, 5 stars for customer service equals four stars!

Tool (for expanding molly bolts) is solid made, however the bolts seem too small or mismatched compared to the grip slit on the tool. The slit is too large to properly grab head of the screw with the washer. This is lesser of two problems. I figured out how to grad & expand the bolt only to strip all threads with minimal torque. On the closer inspection the thread depth is 1-1.5 mm wich defeats design and purpose of product.Useless product. Do not recommend.

I like how well the wall anchors hold and when I went to buy more I realized these are not common. I used up one size of the anchors right away. Then realized I needed more and that was a bit time consuming. Not like you can go to the hardware store for them. One thing I didn't like is there is no easy way to remove them if you make a mistake, ask me how I know. I ended up having to move where I was going to hang a rack and then pounding in the anchors that I couldn't use and using some drywall putty to cover the top of the anchor. Also note that the screws that come with these have a round/pan head and I needed something with a flat head so I did have to go to the hardware store and buy other screws. These machine screws are in metric sizes.

The tool works great, and they include a nice case as well as quite a few expandable mollies. The instructions need to be better, like most China-made products, but it is easy enough to figure out. You have to screw the screw far enough out, about 3/8' so that the black washer goes behind the pull mechanism. Drill the appropriately sized hole (Their chart uses No. size bits, so use Google and convert to fractions) drill your hole, insert the screw and washer behind the black pull mechanism, insert the mollie fully into the drilled hole, and give it a firm squeeze until the mollie barbed head pulls firmly against the sheetrock or other material. It pulls it down snugly. Great tool.
