Besitze das Canon RF 800mm f11 und habe die Objektivschelle schon mehrfach im Einsatz gehabt. Ideal für das Objektiv im Hoch-und Querformat.

This is well made and works well. I wish the mount that is on the side of the lens was closer in length to the one under the lens. I use this lens with a monorail head and it uses the side mount to attach so more clamping area would be better. From a manufacturing standpoint I see why they made it this way.

The way this is assembled the Vertical foot covers the lens control buttons. The simple fix is to take it apart and flip it around. However the manufacturer has the screws so [darn] tight, I bent the included Allen wrench trying to get the screws loose. Also the screw holes on the bottom of the main foot and the alignment holes to accommodate the alignment peg on many other tripod attachments choices don't lign-up properly. If they did lign-up properly you could stack attachment without removing this plate entirely. Would have been a good feature. Upgraded to 4 stars.Otherwise it seems like a good accessory that is robust, not too heavy, and addresses a design flaw of the lens not having a rotating collar.12-26-24 Update.Got the 4 screws on the bottom loose and was able to flip the attachment screw plate around so when attached the Acra-Swiss plate arm for vertical shooting no longer blocks the lens controls. Yeah. But there is another design flaw. The vertical shooting arm really needs to be a bit longer so the Arca-Swiss plate will line-up properly with the center of the lens. It is only off by about 1/4", so it is not a big deal, but why not make it perfect when it would be so easy to make it right.

I'm used to the typical L-shaped tripod feet that come with lenses like Canon's EF 100-400mm and RF 100-500mm, so that's what I was initially looking for to go with my RF 800mm f/11. But I came across this one, and realized that the extra ability to mount in portrait orientation might be useful (since unlike the aforementioned tele zooms, feet for this lens screw on instead of using a rotating ring).I just received and mounted this foot, and so far I am impressed. The construction feels solid, fit and finish are good, and it attaches to the lens snugly. Mine doesn't seem to have come with the set screw to lock the thumb wheel, but I don't feel like it will easily work itself loose. I always liked the feet on the long zooms as a nicely balanced handle to carry the camera+lens combo, and this will work well for that, in several positions. It also mounts in a good place to use it as a left hand grip on the lens while shooting, providing easy access to the focusing ring. The side (vertical mount) part of the collar does cover the stabilizer on/off switch on the side of the lens, but it's still accessible, and that could actually be a bonus, preventing switching off the IS by accident.I'll update if I come across any issues after taking this out into the field, but so far I like it very much!

This is what you need for the Canon RF 600mm and 800mm f/11 lenses for making it easy to attach the lenses to a tripod head.
