You know those flimsy plastic dryer knobs that always wear out and get loose so you can't turn the knob? I got so tired of buying those knobs every so many months I finally bought one of these vice grips and put it on the spindle of the knob. It's small enough that it clears when you turn it all the way around. I just turn it a little bit to get my dryer to start. It's not the most aesthetic thing but it works and it has worked for months now. This is a nice little grip. It holds tight.

There is nothing like a pair of vise-grips to make repair work easier. This version is very small and intended for repair jobs with small component parts. Solid construction, quality materials, alligator-like grip. Irwin bought out the original manufacturer and is now manufacturing in Taiwan, which is way better than the usual made in China stuff for a number of valid reasons. If you have a pair of the legacy made in USA vise-grips, you'll notice some minor deviations, like the retractor spring isn't strong enough to open the jaws when you activate the release tab. But overall, this is a solid and useful tool, highly recommended.

Tanto este qdo o bico de papagaio são ótimos, cumprem o seu papel, e não são frágeis como o tamanho sugere. Só não espere trabalhar tão pesado com um alicate de 10cm como vc trabalharia com um de tamanho normal. Recomendo.

I have some thick fingers that sometime make holding small screws and nuts in place long enough to screw them when assembling items. This vise-grip long nose locking pliers makes those jobs a lot easier.It is only 4 inches long making it easier to get into tight areas. Like other vise-grip tools, this one adjusts to the size of the nut or screw you are using.This is a sturdy tool that appears to be well-made and durable.While reading reviews on amazon about parts for repairing the auger on my model of snowblower, I saw a lot of complains about how small the screws were and how hard it was to attach the rubber attachments to the auger. One person said it was simple and he recommended this tool. His review was so convincing that after reading it I ordered it.This tool is perfect for my needs and I recommend it to family, friends, and others who have large hands and find it awkward to hold small nuts or screws in place with assembling or disassembling items.Enjoy!
