Always be sure to use real thread cutting oil when you are tapping anything. And if the tap seems to slow down or even get stuck just back it off a half turn to clear the metal shavings, and keep doing this (and adding a bit more thread cutting oil) as it repeatedly slows down.

I bought this tool for one job, and that was to retrieve the brass bushing on my starter motor. It worked perfectly with a sliding T handle tool. I have no idea whether the treads are aligned or not or how long it will last. But it did its job and I didn't have to pay a shop to replace the starter.

I used this to drill a classic cars crankshaft so I could bolt the balancer on it. I have never done anything like that before but it worked great. My biggest tip is use lubrication, do small turns in and out repetively and you'll get all the life out of this with out stripping or breaking it

Works great for what I used it on. I was tapping holes in my Jeep JK frame for rock rails. The metal used on the frame is some insanely hard steel. With this tool and some tapping oil it made fairly quick work of this. I did about 10 holes and the tap isn't worn at all. After running the tap through twice, the holes are perfect for the 7/16" bolts I have.
