After this was installed, we noticed within a few uses the handle kept "catching". Handy man came back out and noticed the spring to return the handle to the position kept popping off. A disappointing product....

It was a great lock and connecting it to the app made it very easy. I gave it a 4 star due to the finger print being not as fast. You have to put it on perfectly for it to unlock

I was a little hesitant with this purchase because the last electric lock I bought was 100 dollars and didnt work properly. I wanted a lock on the master bedroom to keep people out. The thumb print recognition and pin work seamlessly, the app is a nice feature too so I can remotely lock and unlock the door as well as get notification when it's unlocked or when the wrong code is entered.Installation was quick and fit my door perfectly. Highly recommend if your on the fence, there are alot out there to chose from but im happy I went with this one.Going to buy a few more for other rooms we want to keep visitors out of

Comes well packaged with all the stuff you need aside from batteries. Instructions are simple to follow, amd the touch is quite responsive. Not much of a fingerprint magnet. Secures quite well when installed.

So this lock was designed for single hole doors as it has a handle on it as well. You could install this on double hole doors however you will need to turn both knobs to open the door which defeats the purpose of having the electronic auto locking feature. This lock was a good choice for my steel door that previously only had one deadbolt without a actual handle which was sometimes difficult to pull open. Now I have the convenience of electronic lock plus a door handle to grab a hold of. The installation was easy and it took me less than an hour because I had to adjust the position of the strike plate afterwards to ensure the dead latch closes properly and didn't interface with the plate. This is important to ensure that the dead latch is doing its job to prevent people from prying the door open from the outside. The lock requires 4 AA batteries and it works well with rechargeable batteries but the higher capacity cells are a better choice. The keypad is off by default but when you touch the screen or sensor it will light up to reveal the digits, the backlight is bright and I do like the white colour they are much easier to read than the blue colour that other electronic locks use. One small thing to note is that the numbers are placed vertically along the length of the handle so when the handle is in the locked position the numbers end up reading sideways. Programming the lock was straight forward and can be done from the phone app once it has been paired via Bluetooth. The handle stays in the locked position until I enter my pin or fingerprint then it will unlock for a few moments which gives me enough time to open and shut the door then it returns into the locked state. This does not affect the movement of the dead latch as I can still shut my door and it will lock on its own which I find a good safety feature. I don't like the black colour though I find it will clashes with my grey door. The lock can be accessed via the phone app this is convenient as I can let guests in without having to be near the door. The battery backup feature prevents me from being locked out should the batteries ever die unexpectedly but at the same time I would need the battery pack available and if I can't enter my home to get the batteries then that poses another issue.

See pictures for dimensions and failure point.Sadly, I could not install this door handle in my home for the only one reason, the tubular mortice latch. Well, technically, I could have installed it if I would have drilled an oversize hole for the mortice latch to fit in my door. Drilling an oversize hole would have made my door very weak and prone to vertical cracking. The door I wanted to install this handle on cannot be replaced easily as it is a fully solid oak door that has been stained and is very old. I cannot risk it. It would make the wood frame around the mortice very weak and it would become prone to cracking. The Mortis cylinder needs to be very tightly fitted in the door as this is the part that will transfer the load directly to the wooden frame of the door. The problem with the latch provided with this handle is that the part at the back of the cylinder is oversize about 1/8 of an inch on each side so to install it you would have to drill a larger hole, but in terms that would make the mortice cylinder completely loose in the door. In the event of someone trying to force the door open or simple wear and tear would probably crack the door frame verticaly. At first I wanted to use my namebrand Mortis that was already installed (Weiser) but the one required for this handle as a oversized square because of the wire that passes in the middle.I could not install this handle because I did not want to risk having a cylinder Mortis latch loosely install in the door. This would surely damage the door overtime. I have looked around on Amazon and found many low end product with the same mortice with an oversized back. I also looked at all the namebrand out there and all the quality handle are all equipped with an even sized mortice latch. I do not recommend this product. If you have quality doors. The mortice cylinder HAS to be fitted tightly in a door this is basic principle. Otherwise you will constantly have loose screws, binding handle and cracking doors.

IRONZON Fingerprint Door Lock proved to be a fantastic addition in my home! The installation was quite easy, as it fitted just perfect in the place of my old lock, so I didn't have to make any adjustments. Sleek and modern design-all in metal, sturdy, solid, and durable.The most interesting thing is options variability regarding unlocking: a fingerprint, the passcode, or even a key, let alone managing it with an app. The fingerprint reader is fast and reliable; locking has worked in less than a second. I especially love the fact that this automatic lock eliminates the stress if I happen to forget to lock the door myself. It also enables me to track its battery life with the app, so I won't get caught off guard when it's time for new batteries. I would have much better preferred it if AA was used over AAA for longer life, but that is just my nitpick.The optional Bluetooth hub extends this control to include remote unlocking, a big plus when letting in guests if I am not home. All in all, this lock provides an appealing and secure solution to conveniently facilitate keyless entry and is nice in offering options that fit both traditional and tech-savvy house users.
