Electrical connecter quickly becomes corroded although dialectic grease is used during installation. Poor quality conductive materials I assume. Buyer beware.

This throttle body is very much like the OEM Motorcraft part! Perfect fit! I replaced this throttle body after this vehicle went through severe voltage spikes! First the battery began to get weak 2 months ago and this caused the starter to short circuit the solenoid which sent ground problems to the circuit. The negative terminal to the battery burned at the post. I replaced the battery,starter, ignition switch and key cylinder just because it had been rough to turn for a year. When I tried to start the vehicle I had a fault in the anti-theft system which caused the light at the windshield to flash fast so I knew the key chips had all been cleared. Only a few minutes by a locksmith callout to my home fixed all my keys and fobs. I then get the yellow wrench of death on the dash and a message on the message center reading engine in safemode. I pulled codes P2114 and P2104 for throttle control. I ordered this throttle body at half the cost of local parts stores and 25% of the cost Ford would charge and it worked great. Be sure you go through all the steps to relearn the vehicle to its throttle on the YouTube videos.

Just installed the throttle body assembly and it works great. I am trying to get some paperwork for the 3 year warranty in case it goes out during that time. Price was a third of what other brand name parts. Have my fingers crossed that it holds up. Looks well made out the box and fit perfect.

Had an issue with the Explorer having a issue on a trip going highway speeds and it cutting the engine off causing a dangerous stressful situation multiple times. Vehicle was throwing a P2111 DTC error. After getting it towed to our destination, tried to get scheduled with any mechanic or dealership that would take a look, and all wanted a month or more wait, which we could not do. Yes I know there is a TSB out for something similar, but no recalls. Even the local auto parts place asked three times as much and a few days wait. We had to be back on the road in a few days. Found this part on amazon and it was delivered fast. This part matched up perfectly with the original one (that was nearing 100k mileage). So I swapped it out with only a few hours to spare. Went through the relearn process and then did a few test runs. Then headed out for a 7 hour trip back home on a hope and a prayer. Made it back home and short and long term fuel trim looks ok still and no codes or MIL. The swap is easier than you think. Just take your time and don't go full bore on the bolts as the threads are going into aluminium. I hope this helps someone with the same make and model as ours as there were several other parts similar and amazon parts picker said were compatible, but this one worked for us.

I would caution anyone that is considering whether or not to purchase this throttle body, the prices is excellent, however the quality is very poor. The.throttle body actuator was bad from the moment it was installed on my mustang. Unfortunately, I purchased the throttle body in August 2022 and just installed it October 2022. Very disappointed.
