They are located on the intake manifold, and contain the throttle plate(s) that control the air entering the engine. The throttle body also houses the fuel injector(s) on Throttle Body Injection (TBI) or Central Fuel Injection (CFI) systems. These original equipment fuel injection throttle bodies have been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

Fits a 06 avalanche 5.3 V8. The relearn process was brutal. Took 18 relearn procedures over a 2 day course to fully relearn as it kept throwing error codes and reduced engine power after driving for less than a min. Finally got it to recalibrate itself and works a lot better then my 360k OEM one. Throttle response is night and day difference and definitely worth the hassle in the end.Relearn process:Disconnect negative battery cable from battery during entire install.1.) After install, reconnect battery terminal and start engine. Idle will either remain the same or idle up to 2500rpm.2.) Let engine run and relearn for 3 min. You will hear idle dropping over this time period.3.) shut off vehicle, remove key and open door. Let sit for 1 min.4.) repeat step 2.5.) repeat step 3.6.) start vehicle and drive around roads between 44mph and 55mph. Reduce speed periodically. DO NOT WOT during this time as the throttle body may still be calibrating and with throw you into reduced engine power and you will have to start over the process.*You may have to do this more than a couple times as I did or you can go the easier route and possibly get it calibrated via scan tool.

Buy OEM, you'll be glad you did. A different brand only lasted about 6 months.

Installed this on my 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe after jacking with 2 Hitachi's and a standard over the last 2-3 years. This whole reduced engine power thing is a real mystery. I got the reduce engine power message probably 10-12 years ago and it never occurred again until like 2022. Dealer wanted $535 just for the throttle body. Exact same part number as above. Throttle body removal and installation took about 1 hour due to some unforeseen issues with the coolant line clamps. Yes, I said coolant line. They actually connect to the throttle body. WTF. Passenger side is easy. Driver's side is a complete Biotch as the hose is probably all of 4-5 inches long. Terrible design. Anyways, I am back on the road with 300,500 miles with 500 of those being post AC Delco Throttle body. Only time will tell if this solves the issue long term.*** And yes, you need to buy a gasket. It doesn't come with one. Just like a f'ing clothes dryer that doesn't come with a power cord. ***

Took off my old throttle body to clean it up and found out it was in a little rough shape. Purchase this acdelco part and fit just right on 2004 silverado 5.3 vortec. After doing relearn engine is running much happier.
