  • Tough Terrain Traction: Bulls-Eye Air Bob Aggressive sole provides excellent traction, and a built-in steel shank ensures more stable footing in your calves while improving underfoot support.
  • Waterproof Design: Full grain leather upper is protected with GORE-TEX waterproof technology blocking moisture from the outside, while allowing sweat vapor to pass right through to evaporate, keeping your feet dry and comfortable in all conditions.

I’ve been buying these boots for about 15 years . I usually get 1.5 years of pretty much daily use . Hunting , fishing , working . I use extension ladders in the summer months and the 12 inch upper full leather is a great way to protect your shins . I wear these in 80 to -10 degree weather . I love these full leather waterproof 1000g thinsulate boots !I used to buy the cabelas outfitter series 12 inch upper full leather 2000g thinsulate but they were discontinued about 15 years ago . My boots are my armor and without them I feel weaker . These are great boots . Pricey but worth it . They break in without much trouble , and the only suggestion I have is for a 2000g thinsulate option , and tougher laces or 2 sets because 1 set does not last long enough .

My husband has been wearing these boots for 10 years as his primary foot wear! I was looking for comfortable hiking boots for some time when we decided to order the smallest men’s size for my size 9 women’s feet. The footbed, heel, toe box are uncommonly amazing. The insulation of the boots make them comfortable even at the minus zero Arctic temps here. My husband wears them when it is hot outside too but when it is gets above 80 degrees I opt out for lighter footwear. We use them for some long walks sometimes on cement and this is not the best use for longevity. If you use them for work and you have to have steel toes, these won’t be acceptable even though the toes are very stiff. They seem to run very true to size. No need to size up. Also, these are made in Vietnam and they do a great job so if you buy them elsewhere you might check that.

13W. Perfect fit. No crunched toes or sliding forward foot. No heel slip. No width crunch. Comfort is litterly UNBELEIVABLE. Wore inside, 75 degrees, for 15 minutes walking. Feet stayed a comfortable temp. Went outside in minus 10 degree for one hour. Feet stayed same temp. That's impressive. Very little break in. So worth the money. I've spent so much money trying to get boots that fit and don't hurt, the price for these is so worth it. I'm 65 so I'd say these are lifetime boots for me. These are like my feet are still home in my fleece slippers by the fire. I am so impressed and happy. Happy birthday and Christmas to me. I also bought the 10" uninsulated Irish Setter elk trackers too. I say the same about them too. Excelent. Everything Red Wing, Irish Setter and the reviewers say about these boots is true.

I wear a bigger size 13W so didn’t like the fact it cost me $50 more but these boots have been worn by my family for 10yrs and are the best.Snowmobiling or hunting your feet are warm even with 800 grams. They last on average 8-10yrs so at that the price is worth it.Arrived on time and I bought one size too big and it fit perfect. Now they may stretch and be too big, But I bought them for skidooing so not much walking.

Great looking boots. They do require some breaking in. The leather is supple but very thick near the ankle and top of the foot.I’m a size 9.5 and bought a 10. The first time I put them on, I couldn’t get the laces to the top.I treated them with leather treatment and wore them at work in half day increments. Now, I can just barely get the laces to the top and do a single knot. Still tough on the feet, but the leather should stretch.Very comfy and warm. I will update the review when I put them through the rest of actual hunting.I’ve always bought Red Wings for work and they last me years, but take some time to break in as well. I expect the same from these.

I have bad circulation in my feet, I've been looking for a warm boots to keep my toes from going numb at -40C weather. Eventually found these, although they're pretty pricey, I've never had warmer feet going outside. The only problem I have with these boots is the size. I'm usually a size 10 but I went with a 9.5 based on what other people said and regret it to this day. If you are size 10, get size 10.

I drive a forklift in a frozen food processing facility. My work environment ranges from 55 degrees to minus 25 degrees...80% of my day is spent in areas that range between 36 and minus 10. I love Red Wing boots and wore them for years before taking the forklift job. On a forklift, though, I don’t walk around or do as much physical labor as I had been doing and the Red Wing brand doesn’t offer a model with the amount of insulation I need. But Red Wing’s Irish Setter brand offers models with much more insulation.I went with the 860 Elk Tracker because it’s leather, can be re-soled, and it’s price point is similar to other brands of freezer specific boots which can not be re-soled when the soles wear out. They have lasted me almost four years now. My Red Wing size is 8.5D so, to account for the thickness of the insulation, I ordered the Elk Tracker 860 in size 9D. The fit was a tad snug for the first week or so but the insulation compacted somewhat (as expected) and the fit has been perfect since then. I have dropped pallets on them, scuffed them against pallets and metal storage racks while walking around, and the leather has held up well to the rigors of a work environment.Their weakness in my work environment is the soles. The Elk Tracker 860 is made for tromping around in the woods, not working on concrete. They wear out quicker when used “off label” the way I use them...but I expected that. After a year and a half, I had to have them re-soled. I took them to my local Red Wing dealer and he sent them to the Red Wing factory in Minnesota be re-soled. That was in October of 2018 and cost me $90. It gave my boots a second life. The other drawback for work use is that they don’t grip smooth, wet floors (i.e.: restroom floors) well. But again, they are made for the woods. I have slipped but have never fallen. These are good looking, durable boots that keep your feet warm, even when worn for a purpose they weren’t designed for and I can’t recommend them enough.

Boots are crazy warm and comfortable. They are a bit clunky like snow boots but travel like quality hikers. I’d stick to using them in winter snow conditions as the grip is great but the soles rubber is soft. Highly recommend for hunting and other outdoor similar things not recommended for street or work site use
