- Delayed Start: Set it and forget it!- Easy Cleanup: Removable pot and top plate.- Consistent Results: Perfectly cooked rice, every time.- Multifunctional: Cooks more than just rice! When I first unboxed this rice cooker, I was surprised by its size. It’s not too large but can cook enough rice for a family. I was drawn to the delayed start feature, which allows me to prep everything in advance for delayed cooking (for some, but not all, rice types). This rice cooker has made things much easier than my old stovetop method. The rice always turns out perfectly cooked and fluffy, removing the guesswork and constant monitoring. It’s a game-changer for busy weeknights. Cleanup is simple, thanks to the removable cooking pot and top plate. Everything separates easily and washes up quickly. One unexpected benefit has been the consistent texture of the rice. With my old method, I sometimes ended up with either too mushy or too dry rice. This cooker delivers perfect results every time. If I had to describe the quality of the rice in one word, it would be “perfect.”If you're considering this rice cooker, there's one thing you should know: the display isn't very bright. It does light up, but it can be difficult to see under certain lighting conditions, especially if you have it on the counter with top cabinets above. However, the cooker's many benefits far outweigh this minor quibble. The cooking time is reasonable, and the results are consistently excellent.Overall, I highly recommend this rice cooker for anyone who wants perfectly cooked rice without the hassle.

I follow the manual by long pressing left arrow and right arrow buttons at the same time. Nothing happens. I wonder if there's something wrong with the machine...

I was looking for a simple and easy-to-use rice cooker and found this IRIS product. The button operation screen is very simple and easy to read and operate. The set also comes with a cup for measuring rice and a rice scoop (and it stands up!). Looking forward to trying some other recipes using this rice cooker other than white rice. I would like to see other colors available, a handle for easy carrying, etc. for future reference. I think I made a good purchase!

I was a heathen before, and now I have seen the light. I get why people buy rice cookers.I was always skeptical before. They're kind of expensive, when I can just make rice in a pot for free right? It's easy peasy, why would I pay for this?First off is simplicity. I know it doesn't seem like much, but this is so insanely simple to use. I was mad at first, because it doesn't really come with any instructions on how to use it, but it's because it's that simple. You have clear buttons on the top that tell you what to do, and lines in the pot. You put in your rice, you put in your water, and you hit a button. There's no bringing it to a boil and then dropping the heat to let it simmer, this does everything for you, cleanly and consistently. And if you're cooking the rice to accompany a meal, this is a set-it-and-forget-it kind of deal. You don't have to check on it at all, it'll keep the rice warm without overcooking while you make the rest of the meal without worry. Now the second thing that I was skeptical about is when I hit that button for the first time, it said "67 minutes". Like WHOA it takes me 17 minutes to make rice on the stove, why so long!? Well first off it doesn't actually take that long. It did take about 45 minutes maybe? But the rice that comes out of this thing is PERFECT. It is cooked slow and steady to cook every grain evenly and correctly. There's no like, hard overcooked rice on the bottom and soft rice on top because you forgot to check it for a minute too long. Every grain in the bowl is light and fluffy and flawless.Another nice thing is that this is designed for a variety of different types of rice. It has settings and measuring levels for white rice, brown rice, jasmine rice, sushi rice, etc. They all cook differently, and this awesome little machine caters to all of them. The whole thing comes with a nonstick removable pot that YOU SHOULD WASH BY HAND. I would not recommend putting this in the dishwasher. It also comes with a plastic rice paddle, because as I've had to teach way too many people in the past, metal should never ever ever come into contact with nonstick coating. It also comes with a measuring cup for your rice and water.Seriously, as skeptical as I was beforehand, I cannot sing this thing's praises enough. This just became my favorite tool in the kitchen, and I think it's gonna help me eat a lot healthier by adding more rice to my diet (along with the vegetable steamer I just got too).

This rice cooker is a fairly sleek appliance. It's electronically controlled, and has options for cooking a wide variety of grains besides rice. As soon as I got it, I made a decent sized batch of rice which I used for dinner. Cooking the rice was as simple as rinsing the rice, adding the appropriate amount of water based on the marking on the side of the interior pot, and selecting white rice on the LCD display and hitting the start button. The cooking time seemed a little longer than I expected, but it got done without having to babysit anything, or worrying about a pot foaming over on the stove, so it was definitely more convenient than cooking in a pot.I also cooked a batch of oatmeal, for which I used the "porridge" setting. Again, the cooker worked very well for that. I have since used it for brown rice. There are options for cooking grains at various degrees of doneness, so if you like your oatmeal to have a bit of "bite" to it, there is an option for that. The rice cooker was easy to clean up. It has a non-stick surface on the cooking pot, and rice washed off of it with little effort. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the inner lid, but I found out it pops out without a lot of fuss, and also cleaned easily. For the price, and the features, this rice cooker is a great bargain.
