FAQ: How do I switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Ensure that the thermometer is turned off. (The thermometer automatically shuts off after 10 seconds.) Press and hold the ear button for 7 seconds until the display shows ""--°C" Release the ear button and immediately press it again to switch the temperature scale.
FAQ: How do I perform a forehead measurement?
Leave the cap on top. Press and Hold the “Head” button. Simply swipe from temple to temple to get a quick 1 second temperature indication and let go of the “Head” button. Use forehead measurements on adults, kids and babies.
FAQ: How do I perform an ear measurement?
Take off the cap on top of the thermometer. For adults, you have to pull the ear a little backward and upward to straighten the ear canal. For kids, pulling the outer ear straight backward will do the same. Simply put in the probe of the thermometer in the ear canal. Press and Hold the “Ear” button. After 1 second, release the "Ear" button and read your measurement.

I bought this & store it in a shelf basket in our master bathroom with other medical things (cough drops, etc. I opened it this week to take my husband’s temperature. I have consistently used it on his forehead and not once has it even come close to normal body temperature readings (on either of our foreheads). It reads 24.3 degrees fahrenheit every single time. Having ordered this quite some time ago, although I have never needed it until this week, I am obviously not likely to receive a replacement, but I am sorely disappointed in this product after relying so heavily on reviews & ratings on Amazon & elsewhere. I’m elderly, and I needed something easy to use because I am married to a man who rarely gets ill but when he has fever, he exhibits odd behaviors similar to very short-term memory loss.I’m not sure why everyone else raves about this product. I’ve watched the videos and done exactly as recommended and it will not even read at close to normal body temperature.

This iProven thermometer is a lifesaver! It's so fast and easy to use, giving me a reading in seconds. I love the color-coded display – it makes it super simple to see if there's a fever. I loved the packaging. I’m a cancer survivor and cleanliness is a big concern to me. To know that the box itself is sealed was surprising to see. The bag it came with made it much easier to store and unlike regular thermometers, I don’t have to fear of the pieces getting dirty. I have been wanting one of these kinds of thermometers for some time and this is so easy to use. You just swipe or just leave in the ear. It is a quick response which is a reason why I like it but one thing I have trouble with is the accuracy. I can take the same head temperature and come up with different results. They aren’t that far off but it’s hard for me to trust whether the head temp or ear temp is the way to go. The color coded screen will definitely help me in case I have a fever. With my recovery, I have to go to the hospital if my temp becomes to high so if it turns red, I at least have some piece of mind. It comes with a little booklet that helps you see how much of a difference the temp is from body heat. It does have an extended warranty so make sure to register it! Overall, I love it and I’m definitely switching to this from now on.

The forehead temperature measurement is very erratic if not done properly.The ear temperature measurement is however spot on!Great buy if you're looking for an instant temperature monitor for kids.

The cap is hard to take off. When I take it off, even the cell cover comes out and I have to pull it out with force. Otherwise I like that I can take the temperature in a second.

Good device with accurate reading. I checked multiple times and good to see the readings were all accurate. Ear temperature doesnt match with forehead temp. Probably thats the fact. Its light weight and easy to use. Awesome for my baby. I just not to bother about her movements during measuring. There is an opportunity to improve the manual. No where mentioned about how to make it ear compliant though it was not difficult to find it out.

I had been very sketchy about purchasing any forehead/ear thermometers in the stores because I just didn't know the quality. I also was concerned that they might not work or that the temperature readings might not be accurate. Of course my child happens to be sick, so when this arrived I was glad to see that it showed he had a fever. I was sure he did, and I was using a very old thermometer. I wasn't sure of its accuracy and I ordered this thermometer so the whole family would have one to use. The accuracy so far seems to be right on. It's VERY simple to use and it's very quick with its readings. I know I read in a answer from iproven that you can silent the beeps, so I was glad to know that. I like to check his temp while he's asleep. I can't give a 5 star warning only because I haven't used the product very long and it wouldn't be very honest of me to say I know without a doubt the product will work perfectly for the time it is under warranty. I would recommend this to a friend. I also am not to sure on how much I actually saved, but it sure looked like a great value! I will be using a alcohol wipe to clean the thermometer if I use it in the ear. I have found for the forehead, that there aren't usually any bodily fluids to get it contaminated.
