This unit seems comparable to name brand fans. It is quieter than I expected, and speed control works well. Unfortunately mine was missing the ducting and clamps. Not as bad as missing the fan or filter, but replacing the duct and clamps will cost me about 30 dollars locally. Amazon is kicking this back t9 the manufacturer, so they're not much help here. Since I bought mine, these have doubled in price.

i got this when it was on sale for about 55 bucks total. worth it. put it into a 2x4x6 mars hydro tent and it completely eliminated the smell of the flowers and i only had on about half way (in this case, the controller doesnt go any lower than 50% speed at low setting so i only had it on low the entire time).yes, the fan makes noise. its an inline fan. its GONNA make some noise when on. that being said, it wasnt as bad as i was expecting and from what some of the other reviews lead me to believe. its in the tent and when the tent is closed and im standing next to the tent, mine sounds about like a regular average house fan on medium or so. i even have the tent in my bedroom and i have no problems sleeping or anything. im for sure gonna snag a couple more of these setups when they go on sale again. you get all the performance of the much more expensive brands, at like 1/3 the price.

I have it in a 3x3 tent in my bedroom, it's a little powerful but with the bottom vents open and the fan on low it's working fine.

So I ordered the combo fan/filter/controller, and thought wow this is a wonderful product for a reasonable price. Received it within the delivery standard, which is sick. The kicker however, was that there was no fan or controller in the box lol. And check this out, there were no ropes for hanging lololol. All I got for over 100 bucks was a charcoal filter. smh

32x32 works just fine on low, but pretty snug. Not even close to as loud as I expected. Fittings on the fan are slightly smaller which I already read in other reviews. A few turns with some tape around the edge made a super snug fit where i can pop on and off without using clamps. I'll see how she holds up after a while. I thought it didnt have the pre filter so I used my hat temporarily. Then I found it on the floor. I'll fix later. My Amazon light's fans are louder than this blower. My desk is right beside it and it doesn't bother me one bit.

I got the Fan and Filter set as I had ducting already for an airbrush station. This unit will be air in and exhaust for 3d printer enclosure for several FDM and SLA printers. Fan body is solid, pressed sheet metal that is very sturdy. The filter is bigger than I expected, seems like it will do a really good job. Its shiny, like, it actually looks pretty good with a chromed surface. Its all actually a bit better than expected, though the cost is fairly high its not overpriced. The materials and packaging are quality. Fully protected by materials thick enough for the items weight, with no obvious cheap packing materials resulting in damaged items. Boxes are big enough to fit enough foam to arrive in good shape. Its basic mechanical stuff made reasonably well to function and look ok doing it. Best thing for me is the packing was super good compared to the average really bad inadequate packing one gets on Amazon, so no returns or disappointment, no extra wasted time I can get on with the project.

If it were up to me my diet would consist of ramen noodles, and potatoes. Only because those are the two cheapest things on the planet I can think of, and I would probably grow my own potatoes (speaking of which, I do grow my own tomatoes, onions, chives, and various other green veggies....)I've purchased cheap lights, cheap tents, cheap grow medium, all in a vain effort to find a 'good quality balance'. Hardly ever happens. But this....Look, I've actually built a carbon filter from scratch, and it worked great, thing is... It cost me MORE than buying this unit did. This unit, OUT PERFORMS what I built from scratch (engineering background), now, its not as quiet, but its also not loud, I'm willing to bet if I had it properly mounted with rubber bushings, it would be next to silent (it is not properly mounted, it is sitting on a wire rack *increases the amount of vibrations*)I have been growing for a very long time, for personal consumption, I have had several issues with odor, even after I built my own filter... Since installing this thing almost a year ago, there have been no problems. There is a filter cover that comes with it, you should hand wash it and let it drip dry, and the filter itself is actually very easy to swap out with a little practice. This is a great buy, I will recommend this to my fellow growers, as well as you. If you want strong and healthy plants, without the odor, this works great!Pro Tip: If you are running Co2, run the exhaust of the filter back into your tent, it'll keep your temps raised, and you won't loose any Co2

This is a powerful little fan! The sides of my tent go concave when I turn it on full. It's much quieter that I was expecting. Don't connect the filter directly to the inlet or you'll get some vibration noise, separate with a short section of pipe.
