Our hot tub gets a lot of use from my teenage granddaughter and her friends so I’m changing these filters often. When I swap out the filter, the spent filter has collected all the hair and oils. I guess any filter like this would do the job, but these work well and at a great price.

I am pretty frugal honestly, and have often pulled my filter out and just tried to clean it and then reuse it. (Seems more practical to me sometimes.). Anyhow, that becomes a frequent process because it never comes completely clean and I end up having to do that often. A 6 pack of these will last me a year. I use them in my hot tub that stays covered. So much easier than cleaning a filter ever couple of weeks.

A little expensive but I found these filters worked just fine in my little “portable” hot tub. They look to be of good quality compared to other filters I have seen.

I was having a hard time finding the exact filter cartridge for my 8 ft pool and decided to just get this one since it had good reviews and was a decent price. When they came in, I was worried I had wasted my money because they were too big. But I decided to try to find a way to make them work. They were just a tad too big for the filter. So I shaved off as much of the rubber/plastic part as I could and then pushed/pulled the plastic core out. Then I was able to smash it into the pool filter. I was worried there wouldn't be enough room for the water to flow inside the filter but I checked the cartridge later and found it was collecting debris all around the cartridge. So it was fine.In conclusion, it's kind of a pain in the butt to modify it to fit in my pool filter but once it's in there, it's good. It probably does a better job than my old cartridge since there's so much more surface area too.

These are about 1" shorter than the type "D" filters I use for my above ground 14' x 36" Summer Waves pool. At first it wasn't filtering anything but I realized that because it was shorter than the filters I usually used, the water was going underneath the filter instead of through it. I ended up removing the plastic strainer and pushing the filter down until it seated into the bottom of the filter where the water gets returned, then put the strainer on top. Once I figure this out it did the job very well and filtered out the dead algae I was trying to remove.
