I gotta say, Iām impressed with this boring bar. I bought it as a last ditch effort to salvage a project gone horribly wrong not having much hope for it, and it saved the day. It is a fraction of the cost of even a USED Kennametal bar of the like. I used it to cut C360 brass, sticking out about an inch and a half, taking about .015 to .02 depth of cut(.03 to .04 on diameter) while roughing. I would recommend this bar to anyone boring a small hole of about 5/16ā or larger. At this price point why not have one on the shelf?

it will do as intended, not the most well made but it is doing just fin at boring mild steel, so will see for A1 or carbon steel.

Great price, seems to be good quality as well. I'll update when I use it. The opportunity hasn't came along yet. Borrowed a coworkers boring bar to do the job this time.

I have used this extensively on aluminum but not steel. It does a great job on aluminum!
