These energy saving timers use no electricity to operate. These timers are designed to replace any standard wall switch, single or multi-gang, and automatically limit the "ON" time of fans, lights, motors, heaters and other energy consuming loads. Supplied with a molded white time dial plate designed to fit either toggle or decorator style switch plates; single or multi-gang with no field modifications required to fit either style switch plate. Time saving "up front" terminal connection with teeter type terminals and an easy "press-on" knob design ensure quick and easy installation.

I like this Countdown Timer because it is so simple and easy to use. It is a clockwork timer (you can hear it ticking) for an electrical switch that does not need any complex programming like an electronic timer. I chose this model because it does not have a HOLD position that you can forget that it is ON.

Used it for my 2hp air compresor. Air compresor is not conected to electric curant only when I turn it on Can not go away and forget it pluged in.

Spring operated wall mounted timer for our whole house fan works well and was easy to install. Time will determine durability of spring mechanism - which was cause of previous "Intermatic" brand fan timer

This was a replacement so installation was a snap. It has performed without incident for several weeks now. It controls an attic fan and with the weather here in Columbus over the past month, I have definitely put it through it's paces.

timer used for whole house/attic fan. Performing well (3 months of use). Shuts off at designated time. Every night we just 'Set it and forget it'. Quiet enough - slight ticking can be heard but its so soft it shouldn't present a problem unless your ear is right next to it. Mine is in the laundry room so no one really hears it but I would think if in a normal/regularly used room ambient sound that fills the room on a normal basis would make the timer sound unnoticeable.

Lowes and Home Depot do not carry anything over one hour. They told me to go on-line. I always try Amazon first. Found this 12 hour times for my pondless waterfall. Works perfectly.

1 of 7 of these 12 hour timer switches ended up being defective (won't time-out and turn off as designed). I've found no way to get this defective product replaced as Amazon says it's now past the return window. I have found no way to contact the original supplier. The timer switches were supplied with rather thick, plastic face plates that are too think to install on the switch. Intermatic timer switches used to come with a thin, metal face plate. It appears they did not redesign the switch spindle to accommodate the thicker, plastic face plate. Also, the product information indicated the timer switches were gangable. However, no provisions were made in the face plate design for multi-ganged switch installations.

I have an older house with an attic fan, the timer has been broken for years. All the appliance and hardware stores told me i had to replace it with an on/off switch. I kept looking for the replacement timer. Finally found this one! It was very easy to replace the old one, just 2 wires. Fit in the same hole in wall and works great! I highly recommend it for anyone to install and use.

This timer works just fine. It is replacing the same model that recently failed... after 10 YEARS!! We use this timer between 4-6 hours every night in the spring and summer months for our whole house fan.My only gripe and reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I was shipped a silver face timer rather than the ivory timer as pictured. Fortunately I have the old ivory face so no real harm.
