This is good for de-crystallizing honey by the bucket. We had quite the problem with early crystallization this year, and this came in handy.

I've had a couple bee blankets that are 3 times the cost of these and these work just as well if not better. For a fraction of the cost!

Fits perfectly around plastic 5 gallon bucket with more room to give. The secure attachment with Velcro that is lined horizontally-on the inside 4 corners and a plastic buckle for even more security. This allows you to keep your bucket fitted snug or loose to control the internal temperature of your bucket. There is no “on/off” switch. Simply use the 2prong plug on the wire and it turns on. Unplug it to turn it off. To heat 2.5gallons of hose water took about 50min for a water temperature of 82degrees. This was all the warmer I needed the water so I loosened the Velcro and detached the buckle to maintain this temperature at a steady 78degrees.

Blanket gets way to hot and starts melting the 5 gallon bucket

Fits well on a 5 gallon bucket. I returned the first one hoping it was just defective. The second was the same.Heat level is less than expected. Advertised as 140° temperature level while my order only gets as high as 99-101°. When I asked the seller about the description statement of 140° they said I misunderstood the advertisement. No, no I did not....see below:"Constant Temperature:Our metal drum heater is thermostatic. After the power is turned on, the temperature will rise to 140 degrees fahrenheit for a short time and remain unchanged, safe and dependable."

I'm not using bucket heater to heat honey or paint, but rather I'm using it to heat up an electroplating bucket/tank. It works nicely for that. The heater is very easy to use and seems high quality. Since it's adjustable, it fits my bucket well. For the price, it's worth it to me because I was struggling to find a way to keep my tanks warm where I have them set up. This heating unit solves that problem. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to warm buckets, it works great.

I sold honey for a decade and have used a couple of different styles of bucket warmers. The last pair I had were cumbersome and sometimes dangerous to fit around the buckets. They have large springs that are not female friendly, even to a fairly strong female that was slinging 70-lb buckets of honey several days a week along with carrying/shifting 40-lb crates several hours most days. Plus, they were narrow so required a pair to warm the honey well enough to pour within 24 hrs. I tried a different warmer that covered the buckets better like the Nkiy Quen does, but the thing didn't work so went back to the manufacturer.I sure wish I'd had a few of these over that decade+ of working the honey 'cause these are wonderful. Honey keeps forever. It was found in pyramids in Egypt; crystalized and still edible. But, pure honey - with the exception of Tupelo, a southern variety - crystalizes and does so usually before Christmas. I was sourcing honey by the 5-gal bucket and had to de-crystalize for about half of the year in order to get it into jars for market. Ya' have to be delicate with honey. Too much heat breaks the enzymes and destroys the nutrient profile so it's a low and slow process. A bee makes less than a teaspoon of honey in its entire life so respecting and lovingly caring for the product goes even deeper, to me, than quality considerations for my customers.Anyway, when I closed out my little enterprise I kept enough honey for my entire life and some besides for gifts, too. Most of it is crystalized. Last year one of the pair of bucket warmers crapped out. When I saw the Nkiy Quen I just had to give it a chance and am so very glad that I did.Gift giving season is descending upon us so I need some loose honey and found this bucket warmer to be very easy to use. It wraps the entire bucket below the ridge collar. It's very adjustable utilizing the hook and loop tape at edges of the top and bottom, leaving the nylon closure loose means you can 'over wrap' when you need a tighter fit. I was able to leave about 1" of space which gave me confidence that there were no hot spots but steady warmth instead. After 10-12 hours the honey was soft enough to stir and redistribute the warmth and crystals. After 24 hours the honey was evenly warm with just a touch of crystals left. By the time I stirred and jarred the honey the crystals were replaced with thick, soft, delicious honey that's as fresh now as it was when it was poured into the bucket five years ago.I really like that I was able to lift the bucket straight out of the warmer. I'm storing it in a clean bucket so as to avoid folding and pinching the elements. What a simple and elegant solution to make honey manageable without destroying the delicate and precious work that defines a creatures entire life. This is a good quality product at a very reasonable price point. I couldn't be happier.

I got this to prevent honey from crystallizing in winter, and it's not been even cool weather yet so I can't give that report. But it does heat up and it does wrap and stay around a bucket. The 5' cord seems generous but as we all know the outlet is always farther away from where you need it than you wish it were. If it works as it's supposed to it'll be a great product. I'll come back and report if it doesn't.
