I purchased this product not on Amazon. It was brand new. After 16 months, the metal tank corroded and it leaked and caused damage to a new cabinet and newly refinished hardwood floor - about $2,000 to fix in a newly renovated kitchen. These things are not well made. Check out the pictures. Whirlpool denied my claim - saying I tampered with the product. . . . because after I took it from under my sink I looked to see where it was leaking. It was installed correctly - worked for a little over a year and then it leaked. Nothing I did had anything to do with the damage it caused. They simply don't wish to stand behind their products which are not well made. I've ready many other instances of their products leaking - usually not as fast as mine did though. I would look elsewhere.
