Our old Insinkerator broke and we had to replace with a new one. The new insinkerator garbage disposal was a different size. The pipe that feeds into the disposal wouldn’t fit with the given elbow piece. This product saved the day! It gave us a little room to extend and attach the new garbage disposal.

Our waste disposal unit was an InSinkeErator brand that replaced our old unit but was a half inch out to our drain pipe. This kit was perfect for the job, but I gave it 4 stars because it has no instructions and I had to go to YouTube to find out how to assemble it. Once we had the kit assembled correctly, it fit perfectly in the space from our drain pipe to our waste disposal unit. We did have to buy an additional pipe piece to complete the installation. Buying this kit saved us hundreds of dollars as we installed the replacement InSinkErator ourselves, no need to hire a plumber.

Works for standard 1 1/2 inch kitchen plumbing.There is a great YouTube video that discusses it better since product doesn’t have instructions. Just google the product name on YouTube.Basically, black gasket has a cutout in middle of rubber to cover the plastic flange end that goes to the garbage disposal. Black flap/rubber cover faces pipe. The grey washer fits against it, flange inside pipe.

Worked fine for the disposal discharge connection to under sink plumbing connection. Original 1-1/2" pvc cut too short and pipe had been leaking over time. Will admit to using lithium lubricant (used for pool o-rings, etc.) just to be on the safe side. Hate redoing work due to water leakage. Stretched pvc accordian tube to max, about 10-3/4" to make good connection. Also bought Danco kit that had the 2 screws since the existing screws were corroded. No leaks. This is a great fix for a misalignment between disposal and plumbing connection. Well worth the expense.

I had partially installed the 1/2 hp InSinkErator when I discovered the discharge tube that came with it was an inch too small!I looked through my box of extra plumbing tubes, but couldn't find a workable solution. So I began searching. After a half hour or so I found this. It looked like what I was looking for, so I ordered it.There are no real instructions, so I had to think it out while looking at the InSinkErator instructions. I determined that the small washer went into the end of the tube with the flange and the other 2 washers fit on both ends of the metal piece that secured the tube to the InSinkErator. Once every thing was in place & tightened up I ran the water... no leakage. Then I plugged in and turned on the InSinkErator, it worked perfectly. I will monitor for leaks, but it should be good.

Who knows if parts are still available for my 50 year old disposer, but the universal InSinkErator FDT-OO Flexible Discharge Tube fit fine. The outlet of the unit was corroded and the seal was disintegrating as well the old drain tube was cracked so the tube leaked in more than one place. Good for another 50 years, ha ha.

Works perfectly but no directions on package.Yes you must force the metal attachment plate over the end of the tube. There is also a groove inside the black gasket that the end of the tube fits in, flat side of gasket goes into garbage disposal with the small grey gasket inside of the black one facing the disposal. Fit the badger 500 perfectly . I had installed a new sink that was much deeper than the old one and this prevented redoing the entire plumbing to make it all fit.

The thing came with no instructions. The Insinkerator site helped with this advice:"If you are using the FDT-00, here is what you need to do to connect the flexible tube to the disposer. Force Two Bolt Flange over the raised lip on the Flexible Discharge tube. Stretch the Rubber Gasket over the raised lip of Flexible Discharge Tube with flat side of Rubber Gasket facing out. Make sure that the raised lip sits inside the groove on the inside of the Rubber Gasket. Secure the Flexible Discharge Tube to the disposers discharge opening (Rubber Gasket in discharge opening) using the Two Bolt Flange. No need to use the Flanged Washer."

Istruzioni non in italiano e incompatibile con molti modelli. Tra cui il mio as45+ da alcuna parte è specificato incompatibilita sulle caratteristiche e sembra compatibile con tutti i modelli della marca indicata. Mandarlo indietro costa piu di quello che l ho pagato. Una fregatura.
