Using a soldering iron with a heat insert tip, these are super simple to embed in plastic. I am using these in 3D printed pieces and haven't had any issues to date with extended use. I recommend using 5.5mm holes which seem to be perfect for an easy but strong connection.TIP: If you need to remove an insert you can always heat it up with the iron and then pry it out. It will ruin the plastic seat, but you can then reuse the brass insert.
