I was looking for a light marker for my zeagle code 3 rapid emergency response system. These product is great, turns on automatically in the water. The weight of the light is negativity buoyant. So if you want it to float look into a floating Keychain like my picture. The 500 hour battery life is great won't have to worry about it for a while.

I lead dives in bad visibility and at night occasionally, and use a tank mounted marker light to ensure I'm easily recognizable. This light is perfect for the job. It's bright enough to be seen, doesn't require extra care, and you can't forget to turn it off or on. It lives on my tank band, and when this one dies, I'm getting my next one in blue!

We all need tank lights for night dives for safety. These often get looped around your tank near the first stage of your regulator. It's all fun and games until this thing is between you and the tank. Too many point surfaces. We picked up 3; one only lasted 1 dive. Two of them had the plastic tether come off the paracord. Fortunately, it was noticed on the boat, and we were able to re-tie them, or they would have been lost.

I recently went on a low viz, low light, night dive with my local dive club. My dive-buddy really appreciated how easy it was to locate me quickly. This is not only good for night time dives, but also for use in lower viz freshwater due gradient conditions. It is a such a simple, inexpensive, piece of safety equipment that every diver should use one on every dive. No reason not to really.

Works exactly as expected. The bright LED blinks automatically when hitting the water. The glow-in-the-dark casing is a nice touch as it continues to glow between blinks. The device is epoxy sealed with only 2 conductors protruding in order to sense water so it's robust and unlikely to leak but also means you can't change the battery. After 500 dives I assume you just toss it, unless the manufacturer has a recycle program but that's still far more ecological than discarding 500 glowsticks.Glowsticks = ~$0.60 each. Assuming 2 night dives, that's $0.30 per dive. This flasher = $0.02 per dive (500 dives) Even if you only get 250 dives that's still $0.20 per dive

We discovered this brand of tank light during a recent Liveaboard trip. They worked well, very strong construction, and the crew affirmed that they had a very long use life. If I do it again I will buy the non blinking version as I think it will be distracting to have a tank light that is brightly blinking t/o the dive.
