I hate it when a great brand goes bad. I've had an old arkon d11v for many years and it's an excellent and trusty light. This one eats up battery life too fast and heats up too much. As well the battery that came with it chumped out after a couple charges

I originally got this flashlight thinking it would be a great quality flashlight for me to use around the house or for any kind of normal flashlight use: I was WRONG--This is a Diving flashlight, meaning, it is high power and made with the explicit purpose of underwater use. I had to do some research, because I was wondering why this thing got SO hot after about 10 minutes sitting on my desk while ON. The research I did taught me that these underwater 'Diving' type flashlights are made to be very bright, but with that, they get very hot, but since they are to be used underwater, they are cooled off during use by the cold water, that is how they are designed. So that's the main thing I personally learned from this flashlight, that you don't use a Diving flashlight out of water! (With that said, of course you CAN use it out of water, but perhaps only for a few minutes before it starts to really heat up.)So, assuming you're looking for a Diving flashlight, this one seems to be pretty good--First of all, it came with a little bit of charge on it, so when I turned it on the indicator light was Red. So, I removed the battery and charged it, and there was a little light on the battery that turned Green once it was charged, and that happened very fast, less than 30 minutes for sure. So, I put the battery back in, and turned the flashlight on and the indicator light was now Green. I turned the light onto the highest setting and put it into a big bowl of water, and about 1 hour and 15 minutes later the indicator light turned Red, and the light kept going...I had it in the bowl of water for probably 1 hour and 30 minutes before I finally removed it, and it still hadn't turned off. Oh, and the flashlight didn't get hot at all in the water... ;-)There seems to be some discrepancy regarding what the actual Lumens are, and I have no clue how I would even test that, so for that reason, and even with its low price, I gave it only 4 Stars.

This light exceeded my expectations. It's a great size for underwater use, not too heavy or bulky like some other lights I've had. It looks and feels very well made. The light / lens housing does get hot rather quickly, using a digital thermometer I got a temp of 107 degrees F. The LED bulb itself measured 204 degrees F. The light on high is very bright, actually brighter than I expected, but I don't have a tool to measure the actual lumens. To test the battery, I charged it fully and then turned the light on high and left it on. At 1 hour 50 minutes the light was still going strong, very bright, and the battery indicator turned orange. I discontinued my test at that point, impressed.The battery charge indicator is a great feature and the colors are very distinct. The light was simple to recharge and did so fully in about 30 minutes.I'm very happy with this light and can recommend it.

This appears to be a well made diving light but do not buy this for use as a normal flashlight. This is a dive light designed for use in water. This will get hot if not used for intended purpose in water. Not sure if this is a con but you do have to remove the battery in order to charge this. It took me a minute to realize the USB-C charging port is actually built right into the battery was expecting some sort of charging port on the flashlight itself. Perhaps for a diver this is a plus since really the only exposed part is the power switch which appears well sealed and waterproof.

This is NOT 2000 lumens, as stated in the description. Elsewhere in the photos it says 1200 lumens, that is more likely but still questionable. I was going to deduct a star because of that false advertising, but the price is soo good I kept it at 5 stars.Compared to my 1500 lumen "Kraken NR 1500" light (that cost me $169), this light is not nearly as bright. But don't get me wrong, this light is bright and will be plenty sufficient.Quality feels really good, solid. The battery is stated to last 90 minutes on high. I put it on high and dropped it in to my pool and the battery actually last 135 minutes before shutting off. Impressive! Although I believe the intensity of the light tapered off towards the end of that time.It is a simple button push for on/low/ flashing sos/off. I kinda wish it had a safety to guard against activating the light unintentionally. My fear is that the battery drains while light is in my gear bag before I actually make it in the water. My Kraken requires a long 2 second press to turn on.It comes with a basic wrist strap I'll likely replace with something better. And two extra o-rings. Unfortunately, no case.The LED chip is advertised to be a CREE, which is the best there is.Overall, for the price this is a fantastic light.

It's about the average you will find, it's a flashlight and it's bight.Now, ad states 2000 lumen, then states 1200 lumen, so who really knows what you get here. It's about the average output, nothing spectacular.Battery life seems fine, and you must remove the battery to charge, which of course would be the case with any underwater light.Head of the unit does get quite warm from extended use.Average, that's about it, and I'm removing another star for the misleading description.
